Glagah Kambuna Field is located0 kil ff h h

Project Background

40 kilometres offshore NorthSumatra, currently part of GlagahKambuna TAC (TechnicalAssistance Contract).

Development consist of awellhead platform and anOnshore Processing Facility (OPF)connected by 57km 14” pipelineconnected by 57km 14 pipeline.

Field production capacity is;

• 66 MMscfd gas• 66 MMscfd gas

• 5000bpd condensate

• 1200bpd water

Using for Design

OLGA transient software was used to determine the following;

1. Potential of operational slugging at OPF

2. Slugging during ramp up

3. Verify adequacy of existing slugcatcher design

OLGA was identified as the definitive model, as previously usedsteady state model indicated conflicting results (dependent oncorrelations).

From OLGA runs, no operational slugs expected, although slugging occursin sections (highlighted in blue) of pipeline

Operational Slugging

OLGA t i t ft d t d t i l i t dOLGA transient software was used to determine slug sizes generatedduring ramp up to confirm the adequacy of slugcatcher capacity.

Simulated ramp up time from 20% (min flow) to 100% of design flowwithin the following time intervals;

• 8 hours • 56 hours8 hours• 16 hours• 24 hours• 36 hours

Configuration

WaterAssumption:

1. Slug will be contained both upstream and downstream of weir2. Minimum liquid level of 250mm is achieved prior to slug arrival3. Slug is contained to 80% of liquid inventory in vessel

Slug volume available (yellow volume in figure) is 76.6m³ per slugcatcher.

OLGA UGM 2008 Kuala Lumpur

Hence, two slugcatcher (current scheme) can contain up to approx 150m³.
