SCHEDULES

FALL SPORTSCarpool, coach, teammate and practice requests are taken with registration and honored whenever possible. For maps to practice

and game locations visit ymcalouisville.org.

SOCCER

Each player must provide their own shin guards. Cleats are optional.

AGE 3 | COED SOCCERDescription

• This is an introduction to the sport of soccer.• Teams play 5 on 5 with no goalie and each quarter lasts 4

minutes.• Size 3 soccer balls are used.• Officials take an active role in coaching as well as enforcing the

rules.

Practice and Games• Teams practice once a week for 20-30 minutes.• Practice takes place directly before each game.• Games are held on Saturdays.• Games take place at the Oldham County YMCA.

INDOOR FLAG FOOTBALL

AGES 4-5 | COED SOCCERDescription

• This is an introduction to the rules of soccer.• Focus is on learning throw-ins, corner kicks, and a modified goal

kick.• Teams play 6 on 6 with goalies and each quarter lasts 8 minutes.• Size 3 soccer balls are used.• Officials take an active role in coaching as well as enforcing the

rules.

Practice and Games• Teams practice one night each week for an hour.• Games are held on Saturdays.• Practices are available Monday through Thursday evenings.• Practices and games are held at the Oldham County YMCA.

• Focus is on skill development and rules of the game.• Teams play 7 on 7 with goalies and each quarter lasts 10 minutes.• Size 4 soccer balls are used.

AGES 3-9 | SOCCER CLINICDescription

• Optional one hour, single day program is held before the season starts to work on proper techniques and skill development.

• $15 Fee required.• Ages 3-5 meet from 6-7pm and ages 6-9 meet from 7-8pm.• Clinics are held in the Indoor Arena.

INDOOR FLAG FOOTBALL

A helmet and flag belt are provided to all players. Each player must provide their own mouth guard. Everyone plays at least half of the game and coaches strive to get each child a minimum of two touches on the ball per quarter they play.

offs.• Pee-wee sized footballs are used. The field is 60 yards long.• Coaches are on the field to assist with plays.

branch.

AGES 10-11 | COED INDOOR FLAG FOOTBALL

Description• Passing plays are emphasized. • Junior sized footballs are used. The field is 60 yards long.• Coaches are on the field for 30 seconds to get play started.

Practice and Games• Teams practice once a week for an hour.• Practices and games take place on Sundays.• Practices and games are held at the Indoor Sports Arena.• Some games may be played with the Northeast Family YMCA

branch.
