Old Town Fire Rescue currently has a staff of 19 employees working a 24/48 schedule with a crew comprised of one Captain, one Lieutenant, and four Firefighter/EMS providers. The department pro-vides primary fire coverage to the City of Old Town and Indian Island Reservation. We also provide primary ambulance coverage to the surrounding towns and townships of Milford, Bradley, Green-bush, Greenfield, Alton and Argyle. In 2018 we responded to over 2,400 emergencies. Old Town

Fire Rescue is looking for a candidate who is a team player who will embrace our progressive views and hard-working attitude. Minimum qualifications to apply are a valid Maine driver’s license,

Maine EMT license, and high-school diploma or equivalent.

Pay and Retirement• Maine state retirement with 2/3 pay, no minimum age out• ICMA-457• Full Social Security• 18% pay increase over three years• Numerous stipends (i.e., paramedic, Fire Science degree)

Training• Helicopter short-haul rescue• Swift Water Rescue Technician• Paid EMS education• Reimbursement and overtime for job related training • Certificates and licensure (i.e., continuing-education hours) covered by department
