The Lord tells us, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23). FOLLOW IN THE

FOOTSTEPS OF CHRIST

The great fifty-day celebration of Easter has concluded, as have the feasts honoring the Holy Trinity and the Body and Blood of Christ. Last week we began a long stretch of Ordinary Time that will bring us to late November. Saint Paul tells us today that those who are baptized “have clothed your-selves with Christ” (Galatians 3:27). Rincón de Oportunidades para el Año Jubilar de la Misericordia

El Padre Mateo estará disponible para confesiones en Español dos veces por semana, Miércoles y Viernes de 7:30 a 7:45 de la mañana.

La Coronilla de la Divina Misericordia se estará rezando en la Iglesia, to-dos los viernes durante el Ano de la Misericordia de 7:30 a 7:45 de la ma-ñana antes de la Misa diaria.

Como obras espirituales de misericordia oremos por todos nuestros feli-greses militares y sus familias.

Aumente su devoción a la Eucaristía participando en la Misa diaria o visi-tando la Capilla del Santísimo Sacramento.

Para ayudar a proteger a nuestros niños y adultos vulnerables considere el entrenamiento de VIRTUS para ver las señales de advertencia.

Decimosegundo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario

SEGUIR LOS PASOS A CRISTO

La gran celebración de cincuenta días de la Pascua ha con-cluido, al igual que las fiestas en honor a la Santísima Trini-dad y al Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo. La semana pasada co-menzamos el largo tramo del Tiempo Ordinario que nos lle-vará hasta el final de noviembre. San Pablo nos dice hoy que los que han sido bautizados “se han revestido de Cristo” (Gálatas 3:27). Este mensaje es inspi-rador y al mismo tiempo nos alecciona, ya que en el Evangelio de hoy, vamos al centro de lo que significa estar revestidos de Cristo. El Señor nos dice, “si alguno quiere acompañarme, que no se busque a sí mismo, que tome su cruz de cada día y me siga” (Lucas 9:23). Durante las veinte y dos semanas que siguen somos llamados a tomar la cruz y, con san Lucas como guía, seguir en los pasos a Cristo.
