Design Overview: The design of the proposed multifamily development is thoughtful and intentional; it was established to provide additional high-end housing in the Old Mill District to accommodate the City’s long-term housing needs, while simultaneously fitting in with the existing development aesthetic and the Old Mill District design. The proposed design utilizes MR development standards to efficiently accommodate housing within the Old Mill District. The design utilizes the sloped topography to accommodate structured parking, it includes building breaks, open spaces, and it provides opportunities for variety in the design. Six major public school districts serve over 32,000 students; there are also 30 private schools in the region. The region is also home to Central Oregon Community College (COCC) and Oregon State University – Cascades, a four-year university.
