OLA Out of School Care Newsletter October 2012 Fees The OLA Out of School Care Committee are pleased to confirm that following a successful year with excellent take-up of available places, that fees will remain at current levels for the forthcoming year, including the second child discount. As a registered charity, with a committee drawn from volunteer parents, we remain one of the most competitive after school care providers in the south of Glasgow. Inspection 2012 [email protected] 07914 324 185 Improving our service We always strive to listen to the requests of the children and their parents (including our popular Children's Meetings) and to this end we now intend to provide toast every day during our snack times, supplemented by a choice of fruit, with a choice of water or fruit squash. (If your child has any special dietary requirements please make sure to inform the staff) Our recent excellent Care Commission report is available and we would encourage all parents/carers to find out how well our service was rated during a recent inspection. Farewell Marie After many years of voluntary service as Treasurer on the Out of School Care Committee, Marie Ruddy has stepped down and we welcome Aga Solek into this role. Thank you to all parents who contributed to the collection for Marie and we hope to meet with her soon to present her with her gift. Important Date! Committee Meeting Tuesday 4 th Dec. 5pm We really need parents to come along! Resources The money raised at our fundraiser last term was used to buy a new x Box 360 games console, some musical instruments (3 ukuleles) and some new mobile storage to help us make resources more accessible for the children. We were also able to buy some new toys and games! This really makes a massive contribution to the enjoyment of the children at the club. Thank you for your support.
