ABOUT THE COWGIRLS Oklahoma State returns five contributing letterwinners from a 2015-16 campaign that saw the Cowgirls post the best finish in program history, earning the title of NCAA Runners-Up. Last season, OSU racked up a 29-5 record on the way to earning the program's first Big 12 Championship in 13 years, thanks in part to a 9-0 conference record. The OSU roster is headlined by three standout seniors in Katarina Adamovic, Viktoriya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari. Adamovic is coming off an impressive junior season that saw the Cacak, Serbia native earn her first ITA All-American honor by way of advancing to the NCAA individual quarterfinals last summer. A two-time All-American and the 2015 Big 12 Co-Player of the Year, Lushkova has been a key to the Cowgirls' unprecedented success as well, riding into the fall season on an 18-match win streak. Tur Mari provided a major boost to the back end of the OSU singles lineup in 2016, going 22-8 in the No. 6 spot. Also returning for the Cowgirls are junior Vladica Babic and sophomore Katarina Stresnakova. Babic tallied six victories over ranked opponents in 2016, including a triumph over No. 28 Kennedy Shaffer of Georgia to help push the Cowgirls to a win over the Bulldogs in the NCAA Sweet 16. The highlight of Stresnakova's first season in Stillwater came in the NCAA Tournament, when the Slovakia product took down Ferny Angeles Paz of Ohio State in the NCAA quarterfinals to clinch the win over the Buckeyes and push the Cowgirls in to the national semifinals. The Cowgirls boasted one of the most impressive doubles records in the country in 2016, winning all but one doubles point in 34 matches. With the level of talent set to return, that success figures to continue this upcoming season. Head coach Chris Young enters his eighth season at the helm of the Cowgirl tennis program after earning his 100th win with the program last season. Young is assisted by second-year assistant coach Matt Manasse.

NOTABLE STREAKS AND TRENDS

►The Cowgirls have spent 49 consecutive weeks in the ITA top 25. The last time OSU was outside the top 25 was March 18, 2014.►The Cowgirls have won 20 or more matches in each of the last two seasons.►Oklahoma State has won 14-straight regular season conference matches dating back to March 29, 2015, when the Cowgirls came up short, 4-3, at Texas Tech.►Since 2012, OSU has made five-straight NCAA Tournament appearances. That streak is the second-longest in program history behind a 10-year streak that saw the Cowgirls earn NCAA Tourna-ment berths from 1982-91.►OSU has won 27-straight matches at the Greenwood Tennis Center, dating back to March of 2015.►The Cowgirls were impressive during the fall, racking up a 65-16 (.802) overall singles record and a 28-14 (.667) overall mark in doubles.►That success has continued this spring, as OSU opened the 2017 dual season with six sweeps in its first 13 matches.

The Oklahoma State women's tennis team bounced back from dropping only its second doubles point of the season Saturday afternoon, winning five of six singles matches to pick up a 5-2 win over Northwestern in a neutral-site contest at the Nordstrom Tennis Complex.

BREAKING DOWN THE BEARS

Baylor enters Thursday's Big 12 showdown with the Cowgirls ranked No. 10 in the lastest ITA rankings and boasting a 10-3 overall record. The Bears have won three of their last four matches, including a 4-3 win over No. 21 UCLA in Waco last weekend; however, Baylor fell, 4-3, at Tulsa on Monday. Baylor is led by Blair Shankle, who is ranked No. 11 in the ITA singles ranking with a 16-3 overall record and a 6-1 dual mark. Shankle and Elizabeth Profit lead the Bears in doubles with an 8-4 record, which is good for a national ranking of No. 22. Head coach Joey Scrivano is in his 15th season at the helm of the Baylor women's tennis program.

When the 10th-ranked Bears come into the Greenwood Tennis Center on Thursday evening to face off with No. 7 Oklahoma State, it will mark the second top-10 clash between women's teams in the facility's history. SUPER SENIORS

The experienced Cowgirl roster includes three seniors this season, all of which have been major contributors to the growth of the OSU women's tennis program. Katarina Adamovic, Carla Tur Mari and Viktoriya Lushkova have combined for 242 singles wins, 256 doubles wins, three All-America honors and 10 All-Big 12 ac-colades while helping the Cowgirls to a 78-23 dual record.

RECORD WATCH

►Viktoriya Lushkova's .810 career win percentage in singles ranks second all-time in program history. She is the first player since Kate Vasylyeva in 2003 to break onto that list. ►With 90 career singles wins, Viktoriya Lushkova is currently second on the Big 12 era career list, and only four wins away from sealing the No. 1 spot. She is fifth on the doubles Big 12 era list with 84 career wins. ►With 84 career doubles wins, Katarina Adamovic sits in fifth on the program Big 12 era career doubles wins list. With a .798 win percentage in doubles, Adamovic's doubles win percentage leads the Big 12 era list in that category as well, along with Vladica Babic.►With 88 career doubles wins, Carla Tur Mari is currently the program's active leader in that category, while also sitting in third in the Big 12 era program record book. She is also fourth in singles with 87 career wins.

COWGIRLS IN THE ITA RANKINGS

The Oklahoma State women's tennis team rose four spots to No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings this week. The Cowgirls also have six players ranked in singles and four ranked doubles teams. The Cowgirls are also slotted at No. 5 in the USTA Top 25. Senior Viktoriya Lushkova remains in the top 10 of the ITA singles rankings this week, coming in at No. 10. Lushkova has turned in a spectacular senior season thus far, compiling a 17-7 overall mark in singles to reach 90 wins for her career and count-ing. Freshman Aliona Bolsova made an 11-point rise up the poll to No. 43 this week after splitting matches at the No. 3 singles spot last weekend. Bolsova has had an impressive opening to her collegiate career thus far, racking up a team-leading 18 wins on the year. Seniors Carla Tur Mari and Katarina Adamovic come in at Nos. 68 and 76, respectively, while junior Vladica Babic finds herself at No. 92 and sophomore Sofia Blanco is ranked No. 122. In doubles, four Cowgirl tandems are ranked in the top 40, led by Babic and Tur Mari at No. 6. Lushkova and Adamovic moved up two spots to No. 32 after picking up a pair of wins last weekend to move to 10-2 on the season. Bolsova and Blanco are slotted at No. 37 this week.

YOUNG GUNS

While the 2016-17 Cowgirl roster boasts plenty of experience, the young talent that head Coach Chris Young has brought on board over the last couple of seasons is evident as well, especially with a pair of newcomers. Freshman Aliona Bolsova (Spain) joined the Cowgirls this fall after finishing one of the most decorated junior careers of any signee in Cowgirl history, having been been ranked as high as No. 4 in the ITF world junior rankings with a number of impressive wins under her belt. Freshman Lena Ruppert (Germany) has been ranked as high as the No. 70 player in Germany, while recording five wins against players in the top-50. Ruppert came to OSU this fall rated as one of the top-10 players under the age of 18. Impressively, the Cowgirl underclassmen (Bolsova, Ruppert, and sophomores Sofia Blanco and Katarina Stresnakova) have combined for a 64-19 record (.771 win pct.) so far this season.


MATCH NOTES

VIKI THE CLINCHER

Senior Viktoriya has been a force early on in the Cowgirls' 2017 campaign, going 7-3 in the No. 1 singles spot. Lushkova has clinched five of OSU's last seven wins, including a three-set thriller over Cal standout Maegan Manasse to lock up the Cowgirls' 4-2 win over No. 8 California at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The Cowgirl senior also clinched OSU wins over Washington, Ole Miss, Tulsa and Cornell.

LIGHT IT UP, LENA

Freshman Lena Ruppert impressed in her first dual matches as a Cowgirl, winning eight of her first 10 matches. A deeper look into the numbers, however, shows an even more remarkable start for the German newcomer. In her opening four dual matches, Ruppert played a full 46 games before dropping one. Ruppert figures to be a contributor in the Cowgirl lineup throughout the remainder of her freshman season, having posted a 17-4 overall singles record so far with an 8-2 mark in duals.

NO TROUBLE IN DOUBLES

Over the last two seasons, Oklahoma State has made a name for itself around the country for its strong doubles play. This year, the Cowgirls have won 11 of 13 doubles points. Over the last two seasons total, OSU has taken 44 of 47 doubles points.

AMONG THE ELITE

As if the Oklahoma State women's tennis program needed further proof of its arrival on the national stage after last season's NCAA Runner-Up finish, the numbers back up the Cowgirls as well. OSU is one of only 12 NCAA Division I teams to win 20 or more matches in both of the last two seasons. Adding to that stat, OSU has won 60 matches over the last two-plus seasons, making it the third-winningest program in the country over that span behind only North Carolina and Ohio State. COWGIRLS GO INTERNATIONAL

The 2017 Oklahoma State women's tennis roster includes a variety of international flavors, with athletes hailing from eight different countries and three different continents. The Cowgirl roster boasts players from Serbia, Montenegro, Argentina, Spain, Ukraine, Germany, Slovakia and the United States.

OSU LIVE ON COLLEGE MATCHDAY

The Oklahoma State women's tennis team's matchup with Stan-ford on Feb. 17 was one of six matches broadcasted live on ESPN3 as part of the United States Tennis Association's College MatchDay program. The showdown between the Cowgirls and the Cardinal was a rematch of the 2016 NCAA Championship match, and took place at the USTA National Campus at Lake Nona in Orlando, Fla. The Cowgirls are familiar with College MatchDay, as the team has hosted the program in two of the last three years. During its first year on the air in 2014, the MatchDay crew traveled to Stillwa-ter for a Bedlam match inside the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. Fans around the country were treated to an epic match in which then-freshman Viktoriya Lushkova defeated senior Whitney Ritchie in a thrilling three-set match to seal up the victory for the Cowgirls. The program was also in Stillwater last season to cover the Cowgirls' conference victory over TCU that would lock up a share of the Big 12 title for Oklahoma State.

The Oklahoma State women’s tennis team was unanimously picked No. 1 in a preseason poll of Big 12 coaches, it was an-nounced by the league office. The Cowgirls received 81 points in the poll, putting them 11 points ahead of second-place Texas Tech. Texas is ranked third with 63 points, while Baylor (52) and Kansas (50) round out the top five.

STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team cruised through its first two dual matches of the season, sweeping Oral Roberts and Louisiana Tech in a doubleheader on Friday at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. "Overall I thought it was a very good day for us," OSU head coach Chris Young said. "I thought we came out and competed and that's what we want to see as coaches at this point in the season. I don't think any of us expect to be playing our very best tennis on the first day, but as long as we're competing that will always give us a chance." OSU made quick work of the Golden Eagles in its first match of the day, clinching the win in an hour and 10 minutes to snag its first victory of the year. The Cowgirls picked up a pair of quick victories on courts one and three to put away the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. The 11th-ranked pairing of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari shutout ORU's Petya Simeonova and Jovana Antonijevic in a 6-0 match on No. 1 to earn their 10th win of the season as a tandem. Seconds later, seniors Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova locked up their match, dropping Brenda Mercado Jove and Ximena Puentes, 6-0. Oklahoma State's momentum in doubles carried over to singles, as the team picked six straight-set victories to easily close the door on the Golden Eagles. Freshman Lena Ruppert made the most of her first career dual start, shutting out Valentina Gisbert, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 6 singles position to put the Cowgirls up, 2-0. The win was Ruppert's 10th career win, pushing her record to 10-2 this season. Adamovic, ranked No. 68 in the nation in singles, piled on shortly after Rup-pert's triumph, adding another team point with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Jovana Antonijevic in the top singles spot. Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova clinched the win for the Cowgirls in a 6-1, 6-1 win over Brenda Mercado Jove on court five. The win was Stresnakova's 11th of the season, which ties a team high. STILLWATER – In their second contest of the day, the Cowgirls continued to roll, as they knocked off Louisiana Tech, 7-0, in one hour and 30 minutes. Oklahoma State continued to showcase its dominance in doubles play as 58th-ranked duo of Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova dispatched Alba Escalona Perny and Sonia Chen, 6-0. Their victory was followed shortly by the pair of Babic and Tur Mari, who bested Louisiana Tech's Jazmin Britos and Marta Sramkova, 6-2, to secure the doubles point. Freshman Lena Ruppert quickly gave the Cowgirls the upper hand in singles action as she recorded her second shutout of the day, dropping Haley Ballinger, 6-0, 6-0. Ruppert's victory was followed up just moments later by Katie Stresnakova's 6-0, 6-1 victory over Alba Escalona Perny. Vladica Babic, ranked No. 32 in the nation, then proceeded to seal the Cow-girls victory as she knocked off Louisiana Tech's Sonia Chen, 6-1, 6-2, on two. After a slow start in her first set, Aliona Bolsova cruised past Marta Sramkova to earn her 12th victory of the season, tying her with Stresnakova and Sofia Blanco for the team lead. Blanco, sitting on 11 victories after her first match of the day, brought herself level with Bolsova and Stresnakova near the end of the Cowgirls' shutout victory as she took down Nadja Manjon in straight sets to give OSU a commanding 6-0 lead. STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team picked up its third sweep of the weekend on Saturday morning, dropping North Texas, 7-0, to move to 3-0 on the dual season. "I thought it was a really good weekend overall, especially today," head coach Chris Young said. "I have a lot of respect for North Texas and their coaching staff. They've been around for a long time, and they do a good job. We got exactly what we thought we would get. They're a team that competes hard and tested us in some spots. "Starting this weekend off and playing three matches in 24 hours was a challenge for our girls mentally and physically, and them being able to bounce back this morning after a long day yesterday was really important. The girls really competed well. We got pushed in some spots, which we needed to have some adversity and to be able to come from behind in some sets and serve out in some big points. The girls did a good job handling that." The Cowgirls swept their third doubles point in as many matches Saturday, using wins on the second and third courts to put away the point. The senior tandem of Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova struck first, picking up a 6-0 victory over Maria Kononova and Alexandra Heczey to move to 2-0 on the dual season before Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco locked up the point for OSU with a 6-2 triumph over Alexis Thoma and Ivana Babic. Freshman Lena Ruppert wrapped up an impressive opening dual weekend with her third 6-0, 6-0 win of the weekend, taking down Haruka Sasaki in the fifth singles spot. Ruppert won 36 games in her first three career dual matches and gave up none to complete a perfect weekend. "I've never seen a freshman start her first three matches and win them all, 6-0, 6-0, so credit to Lena," Young said. "She's very professional with how she handles everything. She is consistent, and she's going to be a tough out anytime she's in the lineup." Bolsova handled Minying Liang, 6-1, 6-1, to finish off the first dual weekend of her Oklahoma State career with a 2-0 record. Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova clinched the match for OSU with a win on No. 6. Stresnakova had little trouble with Alexandra Heczey as she posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory for her third straight-set win of the Cowgirls' opening slate. Cowgirl upperclassmen Vladica Babic, Katarina Adamovic and Carla Tur Mari each faced adversity in their matches Saturday morning, but each would find ways to come up with the win and help complete the Cowgirls' third sweep of the season. "I thought it was great for the girls at one and two to have to start down and then be able to come down," Young said. "They're going to be down in sets throughout the season, and those girls know how to step it up when the match is on the line. They know how to play big points, but early in the season, you have to re-acclimate to doing that." The junior carried that momentum over to the second set as she coasted to the 7-5, 6-1 win to move to 3-0 on the dual season. Owning the first set of her match with Laura Arciniesas, 6-1, on No. 4, Tur Mari would be the first Cowgirl of the weekend to lose a set, dropping the sec-ond, 6-4, to send the match to a match-deciding super tiebreaker. The Spanish product showed poise and experience in the tiebreaker, winning easily, 10-2. After easily taking the first set, 6-1, Adamovic fell down, 4-0, to Alexis Thoma to open the second. Flipping a switch, the senior bounced back with wins in the next six games to take her second straight-set victory of the weekend and close the door on the Mean Green. "The most important thing in tennis is when you're not having a good day, and you have to find a way to win," Adamovic said. "Today wasn't my day, and I had my ups and downs in the match. I stayed composed in the critical moments and trusted my shots. Maybe I'm not happy with my game or how I played, but I'm happy that I found a way to win."

STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team record-ed its fourth consecutive shutout to open the spring season, as the Cowgirls dropped Cornell, 4-0, to advance to tomorrow's ITA Kick-Off Weekend finals. "I thought the girls did a really good job," head coach Chris Young said. "I was really impressed with how Cornell came out and made us compete. I thought we got exactly what we needed out of today. We got a few different girls in the lineup and we were just trying to get some girls prepared for later in the season." The Cowgirls swept their fourth doubles point in as many matches Saturday, using wins on courts two and three to put away the point. The tandem of Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova struck first, scoring a victory over Madison Stevens and Lizzie Stewart, 6-2, before Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova secured the point for the Cowgirls with a 6-2 win over Priyanka Shah and Mariko Iinuma just moments later on court two. Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova provided Oklahoma State with its first point in singles play, dropping Madison Stevens in convincing fashion, 6-1, 6-1. Stresnakova's win was her 14th of the season and fourth in dual matches, both of which are team highs. Lena Ruppert was the next to secure a point for the Cowgirls, as the freshman continued her impressive run through the early portion of the spring season by besting Lizzie Stewart, 6-0, 6-1. Ruppert won the first 10 games of the contest, extending her streak to 46 consecutive games won, before drop-ping her first game of OSU's dual season. "The great thing about this team is our depth," Young said. "We have eight girls and that makes choosing who is going to play the toughest decision for me. The girls playing at five and six are making it tough on me to keep them out. Ruppert has lost one game in four matches, so she's making it harder for me to keep her out of the lineup." The clinching point for OSU came from Viktoriya Lushkova, as the senior won the final nine games of the match to knock off Marika Cusick in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0. Lushkova, ranked No. 11 in the nation, now sits at 12-4 for the season, with a 2-0 mark in dual action. "Early on, Viktoriya (Lushkova) had to adjust to the pace of the ball a bit," Young said. "In practice she's used to playing with people who bang the ball, but when she got out there (Cusick) gave her something a little bit different. We get so many great matches in practice that when we come out and play somebody who doesn't hit it at such a fast pace, we have to adjust and do some things a little bit different. Obviously, once she did that, she was able to rattle off nine games straight."

STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team re-corded its fifth consecutive shutout to open the spring season, as the Cowgirls dropped Big 12-foe TCU, 4-0, to advance to qualify for the Intercollegiate Ten-nis Association National Team Indoor Championships for a fourth straight year. "TCU came and played here last year and they brought a lot of the same girls back this year, so it definitely had the feel of a conference match," head coach Chris Young said. "It was a big match for us and that's what we need early in the season. We need to be able to put some girls in some different situations and they faced some adversity today, which is what they needed. It's really important to do that to find out what you're made of and what you can rely on when things get tough." In doubles play, the Cowgirls claimed the all-important point for the fifth time in as many matches Saturday, using wins on courts two and three to put it away. The tandem of Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova struck first, drop-ping TCU's Alexis Pereira and Aleksandra Zenovka, 6-1. TCU's 16th-ranked pair of Olaya Garrido-Rivas and Donika Bashota were able to best OSU's Carla Tur Mari and Vladica Babic on court one, but Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova secured the point for the Cowgirls with a 6-2 win over Seda Arantekin and Caroline Wagner on court two. "It's nice to be able to face some adversity and still be able to win 6-1 and 6-2 in the sets," Young said. "I think that people that watch us now are sometimes shocked when it takes us more than 20 minutes to win the doubles point. I think it was a situation where we had to battle through some things. This match was just tougher than the others that we've had so far, and that's a credit to TCU." Adamovic was the first Cowgirls to claim victory in the ensuing singles ac-tion, as the senior cruised to a win over Donika Bashota on court two, 6-1, 6-0. The win brings Adamovic's total to 10 for the season and improves her to 3-0 in dual matches this year. "TCU really showed up today and they pushed us," Adamovic said. "We got challenged in a couple different spots, but I think that was good for us." Her victory was followed up by sophomore Sofia Blanco just moments later, as the Argentine dropped Caroline Wegner in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. The win was Blanco's 13th of the season and her third consecutive win in dual matches. Aliona Bolsova was the one who provided Oklahoma State with its clinching point, as she was able to pull away from Garrido-Rivas in a back-and-forth second set to win, 6-3, 6-4. The win was the 14th of the year for the freshman, tying her with sophomore Katarina Stresnakova for the team high.

TULSA, Okla. – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team won its sixth-straight match Sunday afternoon, as it knocked off Tulsa, 4-1, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to move to 6-0 on the season.

The Cowgirls picked up their sixth doubles point of the season on Sunday with wins on courts one and three. The 11th-ranked OSU tandem of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari struck first with a 6-3 victory over Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova and Martina Okalova.

Cowgirls Lena Ruppert and Sofia Blanco clinched the team point with a 6-3 win over Tulsa's Marcelina Cichon and Mahitha Dadireddy on No. 3. Going back to last season, OSU has clinched 39 of its last 40 doubles points.

OSU quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead with singles wins from freshman Lena Ruppert and senior Carla Tur Mari.

Ruppert continued her winning ways with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over Marcelina Cichon at the No. 6 spot. The win marks the freshman's fifth straight, moving her to 14-2 on the year. In five appearances, Ruppert has still yet to surrender a set in her dual career.

Shortly after Ruppert's victory, Tur Mari finished off a 6-4, 6-2 win over Martina Okalova on court four to remain undefeated in dual action as well. The senior is now 12-3 overall for the season and 3-0 in dual contests with three-straight wins under her belt.

The Cowgirls couldn't tally their sixth sweep of the year, as sophomore Sofia Blanco came up short on No. 5 to Martha Matoula, 6-2, 6-3.

For the second time in the last three matches, senior Viktoriya Lushkova clinched the win for the Cowgirls. After grinding out a 6-4 first-set win over Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova, Lushkova swept the second, 6-0, to put the Cowgirls on top. The victory pushes Lushkova's team-leading career win total to 85, while moving her record on the season to 13-4.

Cowgirls Katarina Adamovic and Vladica Babic each had first-set advan-tages when the match was suspended. On court three, Babic led 4-1, in the second after posting a 6-4 first-set win. After taking the first set, 6-2, on No. 2, Adamovic trailed, 5-3, in the second.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The third-seeded and fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team defeated No. 19 Ole Miss, 4-0, Friday morning to advance to the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Championships for the first time in school history. The Cowgirls will face sixth-seeded and seventh-ranked Ohio State on Saturday for a trip to the semifinals. "This was a really good college match between two excellent teams," head coach Chris Young said. "This is exactly what we needed at this point in the season and I'm happy with how we competed throughout the lineup. We know each match here will be tough, so we look forward to another great match against Ohio State tomorrow." The Cowgirls (7-0) once again asserted their dominance in doubles, picking up their seventh doubles point of the season in as many matches with wins on the top two doubles courts. The fifth-ranked OSU tandem of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari handled No. 33 Arianne Hartono and Anna Vrbenska, 6-2, to start things off for the Cowgirls on No. 1. Young guns Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco clinched the point, defeating Natalie Suk and Alexa Bortles, 6-3. The win marked the duo's fourth clincher of the season. On court three, after finding themselves in a 3-0 hole to open the match, seniors Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova battled back to win five-straight games and put themselves in position to finish the comeback before the match was suspended. In singles, the Cowgirls quickly picked up a couple of straight-set victories from seniors Adamovic and Tur Mari to push their lead to 3-0 and put the Rebels' backs against the wall. Adamovic was the first to strike, dropping Natalie Suk, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2 to move to 4-0 in dual play. The Cowgirl has yet to lose a set during the dual season, taking all four matches thus far in straight-sets. After taking the first set in a 7-1 tiebreaker over Mississippi's Tea Jandric in the fifth singles spot, Tur Mari opened the second facing a 3-0 deficit. The senior didn't lose her poise, and took the next six games to close out the match and improve her perfect dual record to 4-0. The Rebels wouldn't go away quietly, as they forced third sets in the other four singles matches; however, the Cowgirls would ultimately finish off the win, thanks to a strong performance from their two-time All-American Viktoriya Lushkova. Facing No. 58 Hartono, Lushkova bounced back from a disappointing, 6-4, first-set loss to take 12 of the match's final 15 games for the triumph at No. 1. With the win, the Cowgirl improved to 14-4 overall on the season and 4-0 in dual play. The win was also Lushkova's third clincher in the Cowgirl's last four matches. In the remaining matches, Vladica Babic and Lena Ruppert held leads in the third set before play was suspended. Freshman Aliona Bolsova trailed Zalina Kairudinova in the third set on court four.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team fell just short of advancing into the semifinals of the ITA Indoor Championships Saturday morning, dropping its quarterfinal match to No. 7 Ohio State, 4-3. The Cowgirls (7-1) took the doubles point handily and snagged the first singles win, but the Buckeyes stormed back in singles play by winning four of the final five matches to take the win. In doubles, the Cowgirls used wins on courts two and three to claim their eighth doubles point of the season. Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova picked up their second win of the weekend as a tandem, downing Francesca Di Lorenzo and Miho Kowase, 6-2. Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic had no problem with Ohio State's Ferny Angeles Paz and Olivia Sneed, as the senior duo dropped the Buckeye teammates, 6-1. Freshman Aliona Bolsova quickly added to the Cowgirl lead, as she picked up a straight-set win over Sandy Niehaus on court four. Bolsova easily took the first set, 6-4, and gutted out the second in a 7-4 tiebreaker to earn the win. The victory was the Cowgirl's fifth straight, and moved her to 15-3 overall on the year. The Buckeyes responded as top-ranked Francesca Di Lorenzo stifled a second-set push from No. 10 Viktoriya Lushkova in the top singles spot, drop-ping the Cowgirl, 6-3, 7-5. On line three, 68th-ranked Gaby DeSantis of Ohio State defeated Vladica Babic, 6-4, 7-5, to tie the match. Ohio State took the lead on court six, as Cowgirl Lena Ruppert fell to Ferny Angeles Paz, 6-3, 7-5. Senior Katarina Adamovic got the Cowgirls back on track as she notched her second win of the weekend in a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over 55th-ranked Anna Sanford to tie the match back up at three. Adamovic struggled to find a groove in the opening set, but responded nicely as she edged Sanford in the second before rattling off a convincing win in the third. On court five, Carla Tur Mari took the first set from 84th-ranked Miho Kowase, 6-4, forcing Kowase to grind out a 7-5 win in the second to stay alive. In the third, however, Kowase got the upper hand to run away with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 win and clinch the win for Ohio State.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team rallied back to knock off eighth-ranked California Sunday afternoon in consola-tion action at the ITA Indoor Championships. After dropping the doubles point and falling back, 2-0, in singles, the Cowgirls (8-1) would rattle off four-straight wins to drop the defending indoor champion Golden Bears, with senior Viktoriya Lushkova notching the match-clinching point. "This was a classic college tennis match," head coach Chris Young said. "Both teams competed well on every court and it was a total team effort after we lost the doubles point for the first time this season. I am proud of our fresh-men for getting us back even quickly, and then (Vladica Babic) and (Lushkova) stepped up big. "At the end you had two of the best players in college tennis battling it out in a third set tiebreaker. What can you say about Viki? She has come through clutch for us so many times in her career. I am so proud of how we bounced back and competed today, and this will help us moving forward." OSU dropped only its second doubles point in the last two seasons Sunday, as California got 6-3 wins on courts one and three to take the point. The Cowgirls did get a nice win on the second doubles court, however, with Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova shutting out the 20th-ranked tandem of Olivia Hauger and Karla Popovic, 6-0. Cowgirl sophomore Sofia Blanco would drop a 6-2, 6-2 match to California's Maya Jansen on the fifth singles court, giving the Golden Bears a 2-0 lead. Freshman Lena Ruppert would serve up the Cowgirl comeback in a 6-2, 6-3 win over Maria Smith on court six to bounce back from a tough loss against Ohio State on Saturday. Ruppert wrapped up a 2-1 weekend holding down the No. 6 spot for OSU to move her overall record to 16-3. Shortly after the conclusion of Ruppert's match, freshman Aliona Bolsova wrapped up a straight-set win as well. Bolsova upended Olivia Hauger, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 4 to tie the match at two and bump her dual record to 5-0 this season. Each of the top three singles courts went to third sets with the Cowgirls coming up victorious on Nos. 1 and 3. Junior Vladica Babic finished off her match first, bouncing back from a 6-2, first-set loss to Denise Starr to take the final two frames, 6-3, 6-4, and put the Cowgirls in the lead for good. As the match was tied at four in the third set, Babic remained composed and went on to get a break and a hold to finish off the win. Viktoriya Lushkova controlled the first set of her match against California standout Maegan Manasse, 6-1; however, the Golden Bear stormed back to edge Lushkova in the second, 7-5. The two battled it out in an epic third set that was decided by a tiebreaker that the Cowgirl senior would take easily, 7-1, to lock up OSU's eighth win of the season.

The Cowgirls' top doubles team of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari clinched the point in a tiebreaker. Trailing, 5-3, in the tiebreak, the tandem won four straight points to storm back and take the match, 7-6(5). Stanford took the lead over the Cowgirls with a couple of straight-set wins to jump ahead, 2-1. Tur Mari fell, 6-3, 6-2, to No. 59 Emily Arbuthnott, before Bolsova was handed her first dual loss of the season in a 6-4, 7-6(3) match against No. 75 Caroline Lampl. After Cowgirl junior Vladica Babic took the first set, 6-2, over No. 13 Melissa Lord, the Cardinal would bounce back to eventually take the match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0, and increase the deficit to 3-1. The match would be clinched in favor of the Cardinal on court one. Viktoriya Lushkova took the first set, 6-3, and appeared to be headed toward the win as she opened the second with a 3-0 lead; however, the senior appeared to suffer an injury midway through the set that would open up the door for Davidson to make a comeback. Davidson would bounce back to take the second, 6-4, and eventually the third to lock up the match for Stanford.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team came up short to the top-ranked Florida Gators Saturday afternoon at the Ring Tennis Center. The match wraps up a stretch in which the Cowgirls played four top-10 teams in a single week. "Over the past two weeks we didn't shy away from the challenge of playing five of the best teams in the country, including four against top-10 teams, and we are going to be better for it," head coach Chris Young said. "We took the top team in the country to the wire at their place, and credit Florida for stepping up in crucial situations. Tonight was a high-level match and I am proud of the way our girls responded to a quick turnaround after a tough match last night. Our freshmen grew up a lot tonight and that's a big positive moving forward." Taking the doubles point and three first sets, OSU hung tough and pushed the Gators as hard as any other opponent has this season; however, Florida proved worthy of its No. 1 ranking and ultimately came out with the win. The Cowgirls (8-3) opened the day by handing the Gators their second loss of the season in doubles action. Despite Florida fielding three of the nation's top 25 doubles teams, OSU picked up wins on courts one and three to take an early lead in the match. The fifth-ranked tandem of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari struck first with a 6-4 win over No. 18 Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan in the top doubles spot. Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic found themselves trailing, 6-5, and facing a 15-40 match point late in their match on court three; however, the pair battled back, taking three-straight points to force a decisive tiebreaker. The Cowgirl seniors came out hot in the tiebreak, eventually coming up with the 7-2 win to take the match. The Gators tied the match score at one-all early in singles as Lushkova was forced to concede her match against No. 40 Belinda Woolcock due to injury. Florida tacked on another point at the No. 2 position when No. 45 Ingrid Neel held off Cowgirl Katarina Adamovic, 6-3, 6-2. The Cowgirls and Gators traded wins on courts three and five, putting the Florida lead at 3-2 with the final two matches in progress. Aliona Bolsova picked up a big win over No. 23 Anna Danilina on three. After taking her first set by way of a 7-5 tiebreaker, Bolsova snagged a 6-4 second-set win to lock up the Cowgirls' first singles point and push her dual record to 6-1. Freshman Lena Ruppert drew a tough matchup at No. 5, as she faced two-time singles All-American and reigning SEC Player of the Year Brooke Austin. Austin edged Ruppert in the first set, 7-5, but the freshman came back strong in the second with a 6-1 win to push the match to a third set. Ruppert came up short in the final frame, however, falling, 7-5, 1-6, 6-4. No. 19 Josie Kuhlman clinched the match for Florida on No. 4, pulling away late in the third set from Cowgirl junior Vladica Babic to win, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team dropped No. 25 Washington, 6-1, on the road Friday afternoon in the first of two matches the team will play in the Pacific Northwest this weekend. The Cowgirls (9-3) showcased their experience, winning doubles and, de-spite a number of three-set bouts and tight set scores, taking five of six singles matches to keep the Huskies at bay. "Our girls competed really well today," head coach Chris Young said. "Washington has a good team and to win on the road here was a challenge and I'm happy to see our girls step up tonight. It was a total team effort and we will need the same performance tomorrow against Northwestern." For the 11th time in 12 matches this season, the Cowgirls opened the match by taking the doubles point. The sixth-ranked tandem of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari were victorious on court one, as they defeated Nour Abbes and Miki Kobayashi, 6-3, to move to 16-3 on the season. The No. 34 duo of Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova defeated Katarina Kopcalic and Lana Slavica, 6-4, for the fourth win in their last five matches. In singles, Cowgirls Viktoriya Lushkova, Vladica Babic and Lena Ruppert rattled off three straight-set wins to clinch the match before Washington could get on the board. Babic struck first to push the OSU lead to 2-0. After edging Washington's Alexis Prokopuik in the first set, the Cowgirl junior bounced back from falling down a break in the second to take the set and the match, 7-5, 6-3. Shortly after Babic's triumph, Ruppert finished off a 6-4, 6-4 win over Kenadi Hance on court five. Tur Mari came back from a 4-2 deficit in the opening frame to take the set before carrying her momentum over to the second to seal up the victory. Lushkova recorded her fifth match-clincher of the season Friday evening, handling Stacey Fung, 7-5, 6-4, in a back-and-forth match that saw the Cowgirl senior pull away late in both sets. The final three matches on the court each went to three sets with two Cowgirls coming out on top. The Huskies recorded their first and only match win on No. 3, as Miki Kobayashi came back to beat freshman Aliona Bolsova, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. With her third set starting after the match was clinched, senior Katarina Adamovic's match against Washington's Nour Abbes was to be decided by a 10-point super tiebreaker. Adamovic showcased her ability to perform in the clutch, as she outlasted Abbes, 13-11, in the tiebreaker to get the win. Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova bounced back from a tough first set to win 12 of her next 18 games and take her match on No. 6 over Katarina Kopcalic, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team bounced back from dropping only its second doubles point of the season Saturday afternoon, winning five of six singles matches to pick up a 5-2 win over Northwestern in a neutral-site contest at the Nordstrom Tennis Complex. The Cowgirls (10-3) gave up the third doubles point in their last 47 matches as Northwestern picked up wins on courts one and two to take an early lead. The senior tandem of Viktoriya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari came up with the lone doubles win, defeating Northwestern's Lee Or and Rheeya Doshi, 6-1. The Cowgirls showed resilience in singles as they overwhelmed the Wildcats with five straight-set wins. Lushkova earned her second win of the weekend in a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Erin Larner on No. 1. The win moved the Cowgirl senior to 17-7 on the year and pushed her career win total to 90. Adamovic picked up the 7-6, 6-2 win on No. 2 over Northwestern's Maddie Lipp. The Cowgirl senior owns an impressive 7-1 dual mark on the season and has won 10 of her last 11 matches overall. Freshman Aliona Bolsova bounced back from a tough loss in the Cowgirls' match against Washington Friday with a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Rheeya Doshi on No. 3. Bolsova has racked up a team-leading 18 wins on the season thus far. Lena Ruppert moved to 17-4 on the year with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Alex Chatt of Northwestern on No. 5. Sophomore Sofia Blanco picked up a ranked win over No. 121 Brooke Rischbieth on six with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph.
