OKHAI HANDICRAFTS represents, 450 rural women benefiting from this programme run by Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD) which is a trust promoted and supported by Tata Chemicals Ltd primarily engaged in Community Development activities in and around Okhamandal Taluka of Jamnagar district(Gujarat). They earn an average monthly income of Rs 500- 2500. The handicrafts are promoted under the brand name ‘Okhai’. The women have come together to craft around making Apparels, Home Furnishings and Accessories. We persistently try to bring in more opportunities for them to showcase these products. The handicrafts project has made a fundamental difference to the lives of rural women. It not only helps the women become wage earners, but also spreads awareness about the traditional crafts of the region. Here is the product showcase of the same.

The “Milk Route” concept provides assistance to the village women. Okhairepresentative goes to the village with new designs to the SHG’s for debrief andcollection.
