Widescreens / Monitor Walls for "purged" containerIn order to provide a comprehensive visualization of all relevant processes in purged containers, widescreens or monitor walls are frequently used. In an emergency, when the “purged condition” fails, the monitor wall / widescreen can no longer be operated and small, explosion-protected emergency displays are used that visualize a lot less. This is now no longer necessary – our explosion-protected widescreens and office-like keyboard and mouse modules ensure optimum visualization even in emergencies, thus also ensuring that the quality of process visualization is not compromised at any time.

Plug-and-play Full Clients with pre-installed operating systemsAll our Full Clients / Panel PCs can be fully pre-configured ex-factory with a closed multilingual operating system (Windows XP / Windows Embedded / 7 Ultimate, etc.). The systems are designed as OPEN HMI, i.e. they are open for all types of soft-ware applications.

Thin Clients with REMOTE HMI FIRMWAREAll our Thin Client HMIs are fitted with a special firmware that protects the HMI system against outside manipulation and monitors the entire data communication, diagnosing any error messages immediately. The firmware also simplifies IP addressing as well as the entire configuration management.

Fail-safe due to USB back-up / recovery stick Our intrinsically safe USB back-up / recovery stick contains all information required to get an HMI up and running again in case the Full Client / Thin Client has been damaged by external sources. The recovery of the HMI is very simple, it is menu-controlled and works without any particular network expertise or additional software. The USB stick is intrinsically safe and can be plugged and unplugged directly inside the hazardous area.

HMI with pre-installed operating systemsAll Panel PCs are ready-to-run worldwide, with pre-installed, multilingual Windows Embedded Standard 2009, XP Professional MUI or -7 Ultimate operating system (QNX, Linux optional) – without time-consuming installation of drivers or operating systems. All pre-installed operating systems are protected against external manipulations. In the rare case of a system failure, the BACKUP/RECOVERY solution via USB stick enables users to immediately restore the original state.

Widescreens for Container Applications

R. STAHL HMI is the only provider of widescreen monitor solutions for container applications in hazardous areas, Zone 1. Even in the event of an explosive atmosphere, the widescreens are able to remain functional and ensure optimal visualization and operation. The high brightness widescreens that can also be arranged in a dual-monitor setup allow comprehensive monitoring of processes, analyses and applications such as the Workover Control System. Keyboard and mouse modules meet ergonomics standards (EN ISO 9241-400) and help to minimize fatigue while working in the container.

HMI for Tankfarm & Refinery Applications

R. STAHL HMI offers the full product range for operating stations for installation in refineries and tankfarms. Be it as Full Client / Thin Client or as EAGLE Operator Interface – many designs are available that are suitable for each application. The Full Clients (Panel PCs) are designed as OPEN HMIs and, with their pre-configured operating systems, are able to run each software. The Thin Clients are designed for the incorporation in a network structure and are supplied with Remote HMI firmware, ensuring simple operation, maximum security and permanent data control. All EAGLE Operator Interfaces are designed as “closed units” with their own real-time operating system, making them safe from outside viruses. As a further option, EAGLE HMIs can process as part of PLC applications or can be used for identification purposes in tankfarms.
