Development planning & concept selection

AMEC has extensive field development planning, concept selection and

feasibility study capabilities. Our experience stretches around the wor ld

with its roots in the mature basins of the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico

to the basins off West Africa, South East Asia, Australia, South America and

the Caspian Sea as well as the onshore fields in Nor thern America, the

Middle East, Australia and China.

Using our in-house software, experienced globally based engineers and a

range of database information, we can provide our cl ients with innovative

and cost-effective field development scenarios and up- to-date cost

estimations.

Front end engineering design (FEED)

FEED studies are undertaken to ensure that there is robust planning and

design early in a project’s lifecycle. At this stage of the project lifecycle

AMEC is able to use expertise and experience to influence changes in

design at relatively low cost.

Over the last 50 years, AMEC has carr ied out extensive oil and gas FEED

studies in most of the major oil and gas producing regions of the world.

Full field development capability

Successful oil and gas developments don’t begin and end on the drawing

board. With expertise in everything from conceptual design to operations,

AMEC ensures safety, constructability, operability, and cost-effectivenessthroughout the project life cycle. Our initial designs are inform ed by

construction and operational expert ise, which are continually enhanced by

lessons learned in the field.

Asset support

AMEC is a leading provider of asset support solutions, providing intelligent

engineering- led services to enable the operation, maintenance and upgrade

of onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities across the globe.

AMEC offers full asset support services, ranging from m aintenance

planning dur ing project development to brownfield upgrades, operational

support and full duty holder capabilities.

Concept to closure

Unconventional oil and gas

AMEC specialises in unconventional oil and gas, shale gas and coal seam methane (CSM).

AMEC is able to offer l ife cycle CSM development services for concept selection through FEED to

full field development and operation support. One of our key attributes is the ability to provide small

scale commercialisation solut ions to developing CSM assets including MicroLNG, MicroCNG,

MicroCoGeneration and water commercialisation solutions.

Capabilities:

Concept and detailed design of both small and large scale coal seam gas projects.

  Remote area engineering and design

  Wellhead infrastructure

  Compression facilities

Water m anagement infrastructure, including storage facilities, sizing and pontoon designs for

suction and discharge pipelines

  Gas gathering systems and pipelines

Construction and comm issioning services for coal seam gas assets.
