Machine & Pump

– A liquid tray holds bags at a 40 degree angle preventing spillage into the chamber and sealing system.Always use a liquid tray when sealing liquids.

– A seal time of 1.5 seconds is usually sufficient for most bags and will extend the life of the Teflon tape.Maintain a low sealing time.

– Food products vacuumed at a high level release moisture in the chamber contaminating the oil.Change the oil and filter frequently.

– Extension cords can create a low voltage situation making the pump motor overheat.Power the machine directly into a wall receptacle.

– Pump oil can bleed into the filter, sensor and chamber creating numerous issues.Never lay a vacuum chamber machine on its side.

MVS 31 and 45 VACUUM PUMPOil Changing/Flushing Procedures

1. Run the pump for a few cycles to warm up the oil and to loosen all the contaminants.

2. Drain the oil. (Please refer to Figure 1 below.)

MVS-31 Pump MVS-45 Pump

3. Check the condition of the drained oil.If oil is dark, murky or has contaminations, please perform pump conditioning with R568 flushing oil. Please follow step 4 through step 6. If drained oil is clear, add regular oil to the proper level and machine is ready to use. (Please see Figure 3.)

4. Fill the oil reservoir with the R568 flushing oil until level is slightly past the half way mark on the oil sight window. (Please see Figure 2 and 3.)

5. Run the pump under normal condition for approximately 2 hours.Drain a small oil sample and check for any contamination.

If the sample oil is clear of contamination run the pump for another 1 hour.Drain a small oil sample and check for any contamination.

If the sample oil is clear of contamination, drain the flushing oil and refill with regular oil to its proper level(Please see figure 3.)

6. If the sample oil is still contaminated, drain the flushing oil and repeat step 4 and 5 again.

7. After flushing is done and regular oil has been added to the proper level, remove the exhaust filter and check if it is clogged or saturated with oil.

Exhaust filter is clogged if you cannot blow to it.Exhaut filter is consider saturated if the felt is heavily coated with oil.

REPLACE exhaust filter if it is clogged or saturated with oil.

7. Run the pump with the fresh oil and monitor the operating conditions closely.Check for noise, overheating and oil condition until a regular oil change schedule can be established.
