NomenclatureOil Seal Numbering SystemDurus part numbers are derived from the dimensions and features of the seal. All part numbers include some dimensional information as well as case, lip, and material designations.

Metric Seal Part NumbersMetric seal part numbers list the three seal dimensions, separated by two X's. The shaft diameter is listed first, followed by housing bore diameter. The width is listed last.

After the dimensions, a lip and case type is designated. The very end of the part number is reserved for a material code.

Inch-Dimension Seal Part NumbersThe numbering system employs a 5-digit number for seals with a shaft diameter of less than one inch and a 6-digit number for seals with a shaft diameter of one inch or larger.

For seals with a shaft diameter less than o
