Dakota Opening Date: September 16, 2019 Closing Date: September 27, 2019 ************************************************************************ General Description of Duties: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the medical screening areas of the facility as well as assisting client needs through the detox and/stabilization process. Will operate within their scope of work to assist the medical staff to ensure clients are safely detoxified and ready to transition into treatment. Within the residential treatment center the Nurse Assistant will provide supervision to clients and will be responsible for the dispensing of client medication. The Nurse Assistant works the shift assigned, which maybe 8am to 4:30pm; 2:30pm to 10pm; or 10pm to 8am. Specific Duties: Administrative 1. File client data in accordance with program policies and

procedures. Anpetu Luta Otipi (ALO) has very specific procedures for filing client electronic and hardcopy records which must be adhered to consistently.

2. Document client services using ALO’s data management system in a manner that is timely and accurate.

Technical 1. Administer medications and treatments, as directed by a

physician or nurse. 2. Clean rooms and change linens. 3. Prepare, serve, and collect food trays. 4. Provide patients with help walking and exercising. 5. Work as part of a medical team that examines and

provides behavioral health treatment. 6. When required, collect specimens such as urine, feces, or

sputum. 7. Explain medical instructions to patients and family

members. 8. Maintain inventory by storing, preparing, sterilizing, and

issuing supplies. 9. Observe patients' conditions, measuring and recording

food and liquid intake and output and vital signs, and report changes to professional staff.

10. Perform clerical duties such as processing documents and scheduling appointments.

11. Assist with client supervision.

Dakota Opening Date: September 16, 2019 Closing Date: September 27, 2019 *********************************************************************** General Description of Duties: The Counselor Aide provides assistance to Anpetu Luta Otipi’s clinical addiction treatment team in both the residential and outpatient treatment setting. Within the residential program the Counselor Aide is primarily responsible for the supervision of clients during routine daily activities and special events. The Counselor Aide coordinates life skills, educational, recreational, and other non-clinical services to enhance the overall quality of services clients receive. Within the residential program the Counselor Aide provides supervision to clients 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Counselor Aide works their shift as assigned by a manager or the Treatment Coordinator. Typical shifts are 8am-4:30pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-8am. In the outpatient programs the Counselor Aide assists clients with the admission process, provides data entry, organizes client files, assists with the arrangement of services, and may help a counselor facilitate large groups. Specific Duties: Administrative

1. File all client data in accordance with program policies and procedures.

2. Assist primary counselors/ case managers with preparation and completion of client files, which includes data entry.

3. Complete documentation of client activities and daily disposition by the conclusion of each shift.

4. Complete documentation of client medication dispensed by the conclusion of each shift.

5. Participate in shift change reports. 6. Attends all required in-service training, staff meetings,

and other training as requested.

Client Supervision & Program Assistance 1. Supervise residential clients at all times during duty

hours. 2. Assist with client admission and orientation for both

residential and outpatient facilities. 3. Transport clients for appointments, program sanctioned

activities, and to referral agency sites. 4. Facilitate educational and life skills groups.

Dakota Opening Date: September 16, 2019 Closing Date: September 27, 2019 **************************************************************************** General Description of Duties: The Quality Assurance Specialist works under the supervision of the clinical supervisor to ensure excellence in addiction treatment, prevention, and recovery support services. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for reviewing and reporting on services administered by Anpetu Luta Otipi. The Quality Assurance Specialist works with the Director and Clinical Supervisor to ensure that best practices are implemented and minimum state and federal behavioral health standards are met. The Quality Assurance Specialist uses data and client feedback to identify areas that need improvement. The Quality Assurance Specialist is knowledgeable in behavioral health practice and works closely with the clinical staff toward continuous quality improvement. Specific Duties: Administrative

1. File client data in accordance with program policies and procedures. Anpetu Luta Otipi (ALO) has very specific procedures for filing client electronic and hardcopy records which must be adhered to consistently.

2. Document client services, case management, and client interventions using ALO’s data management system in a manner that is timely and accurate.

3. Review and, if necessary, make corrections to the agency electronic and paper filing system. Ensure that all staff use the correct process for documentation.

Technical 1. Become familiar with the current body of behavioral health/public

health literature related to alcohol, commercial tobacco, and substance abuse. Articulates best and promising practice as well as agency policy to clients, the public, and co-workers.

2. Reviews the implementation of Anpetu Luta Otipi’s programs and services and provides regular evaluation reports to the Director and Clinical Supervisor.

3. Review client services against best and promising practice interventions and minimum standard guidelines.

4. Ensure the appropriate processes are used to screen and assess individuals for addiction and mental health issues.

5. Provides training and technical assistance to clinical staff related to behavioral health practice, twelve core functions of addiction counseling, agency policy, and best practice strategies. Assists in the planning of staff in-service.

6. Fields complaints from clients and the general public. 7. Assists the Director and Clinical Supervisor to correct problems

within the agency related to process and programming. 8. Make regular progress on academic work required to secure or

maintain certification as demonstrated by documentation of successful course completion.

The Recovery Support Coach is a lay service provider that helps: 1. Increase client compliance with treatment recommendations; 2. Increase communication to bridge gaps between client and addiction and medical providers; 3. Deliver alcohol and substance abuse education to targeted populations of both youth and adults who have demonstrated at-risk behavior; 4. Provide follow-up with clients who have received inpatient and outpatient services in accordance with ALO’s evaluation protocol; and 5. Communicate agency goals and objectives to the general public. The Recovery Support Coach works in accordance with a scheduled shift and will be required to work days and evenings. Specific Duties: Administrative

The NRS performs field and office work related duties relevant to the Natural Resources Regulatory Agency (NRRA) and associated Departments such as the Water Resources Department, Badlands Bombing Range Department and Tribal Historic Preservation Office. These activities shall include, but are not limited to, field inspections and investigating complaints in order to detect and document both Tribal and Federal natural resources and environmental laws violations, issuing nature resources use permits, completing inventories, environmental reviews, conducting assessments, studies and other special projects. The NRS will act as the liaison between federal agencies and entities working within the reservation to ensure compliance with natural resources and environmental laws, as well as collaborate on joint efforts in the management of the natural resources. The NRS meets with the public to promote compliance with natural resources laws, as well as the promotion of the protection and conservation of natural resources. The NRS will oversee the establishment of the Forestry Department of the NRRA. The NRS will assist the Natural Resources Director in establishing the Minerals & Mining Department of the NRRA. The NRS will assist in activities associated with the Water Resources Department. The NRS will be the direct supervisor of the Forest Compliance Technician (special projects), and other special project employees as assigned by the Natural Resources Director. The NRS may be required to work long and irregular hours performing field investigations and other assigned duties. The NRS must ensure accurate, timely and professional work is accomplished on assigned duties. The NRS must be willing to obtain and complete training as it pertains to the position. 6. Supervise and ensure objectives of Forestry Department under the NRRA are completed. This includes, but is not limited to, supervision of Forest Compliance Technicians and other hired personnel under the Department, conducting timber inventories, coordinating with Tribal and federal agencies

on forestry related activities and studies, reforestation activities, silvicultural activities, implementation of Forest Management Plan activities in the management and protection of the forest resources, and coordinating timber haul efforts with the Black Hills National Forest.

7. Implement all components of the Oglala Sioux Tribe’s Timber Permitting Process, as well as Minerals & Mining Permitting Process. Dakota Opening Date: September 16, 2019 Closing Date: September 27, 2019 ******************************************************************* General Description of Duties: The Equipment Operator/Mechanic transports heavy road construction and maintenance equipment and supplies on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and occasionally hauls equipment or materials to and from various locations in the United States. The Equipment Operator/Mechanic typically operates side dumper and belly dump trucks, 10-ton truck tractors with semi-trailers, front end loaders, heavy-duty snow-plows, motor graders, and light duty pickup trucks. The Equipment Operator/Mechanic is under the direct supervision of the OST Field Supervisor. Specific Duties: 1. Repair vehicles and equipment in the OST SWMP

Garage and performs other preventive maintenance as necessary.

2. Good judgment is required to place cargo, equipment or supplies; to back under and hook up; and back into or through restricted areas for unloading truck tractor and semi-trailers.

3. Repair or replace signs, sign posts, mow, transfer site areas and pick up garbage along the road ways.

4. Responsible for the safety of self and persons near work areas.

5. Perform duties in such a manner as to protect equipment, cargo, and private and public property.

6. Observe established safe working conditions. 7. Appropriate protective clothing and/or equipment is

provided to minimize or eliminate hazardous conditions and its use is mandatory.

8. Perform road maintenance duties on all roads leading to transfer sites including proper grading of gravel and earth roads, including proper grading of gravel and earth roads, including crowning.

9. Fill out daily forms from the list as follows;

• Detailed log sheets • Maintenance logs etc. • Daily Road Maintenance

10. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Field Supervisor. Knowledge and Requirements: 1. Random drug testing completed as required by federal

law. 2. Must have the ability and license to operate tandem

dump trucks having a 13 forward speed transmission with gross vehicle weights of 58,000 lbs., with loads from 12 to 16 tons; and tandem truck tractors having 18 forward speeds and 4 reverse speeds with gross vehicle weights of 80,000 lbs.; plus, pull semi-trailers or belly dump trailers.

3. Must have experience and be able to operate and maintain all heavy equipment especially the motor graders

4. Must have sufficient mechanical skills and knowledge of trucks to maintain them and make minor repairs on the highways.

5. Must be able to start and operate all types of construction and maintenance equipment.

Qualifications: 1. Valid state driver’s license required 2. Must have three (3) years ‘experience in heavy

equipment operation 3. CDL preferred-Must obtain within one year of hire.
