AIESEC Lahore was set up by a few enthusiastic and driven students in 2006 and
hence became the first Local Committee to be formed within AIESEC Pakistan. It
is based at LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences), Kinnaird College,
Lahore School of Economics, NCA and plans to expand to other universities very
soon. AIESEC Lahore has successfully hosted 8 National Conferences and has
developed into one of the largest LCs in AIESEC Pakistan. We hope to reach new
horizons by expanding our member base and working collectively to see AIESEC
Pakistan develop leaders, facilitate exchanges and offer memorable experiences
to its members and trainees. We have had several partnerships and

Exchange Statistics
Since our inception, the number of successful exchange
experiences delivered by AIESEC in Lahore has seen an exponential
growth. This is because of the dedicated member body that we have at
our disposal, which is determined to achieve the organization’s long
term goals.
The “EP” numbers shown below demonstrate the number of
Exchange Participants who have been sent on internships abroad from
Pakistan, whereas the “TN” or Traineeship Nominee numbers shown
below refer to the number of forms raised as openings for prospective
interns in various community development projects and professional
internships.
These exchange statistics show the breakup of all the exchanges
that we have been able to facilitate as of yet. The first two are about
our Global Community Development Program (GCDP) and the other
two columns are for our Global internship program (GIP). In contrast to
GIP which involves professional internships on an international level,
the GCDP portfolio is about projects based on exchange and is meant to
be usedas the platform that AIESEC provides to address a social issue.

Past oGIP EPs experiences!
Aziz Jafri, UK – Alcatel-
Lucent Telecom, 2009
I was extremely lucky to go on exchange to UK to
work with Alcatel-Lucent Telecom a global leader in
telecommunications. Upon landing in UK I was
welcomed by AIESECers already working there. I was
given the apartment of another EP who was on
holiday for a week. This is where I fell in love with
AIESEC all over again!! I had not even met the guy
but just by knowing that I was an AIESECer he had
left his whole apartment to me to use freely!! Right
from day one I was treated as a full time employee
and shared equal work responsibilities with all
members of the team. Not once did I feel out of
place that I was on a traineeship. Furthermore, just
the feeling of working in a leading multi-national in
UK for a fresh graduate like me was like a dream
come true!!
In short I would say an AIESEC
exchange should be one thing
that must be at the top of every
ones “To Do” list in life.
Now that I have Exchanged
the Experience
I hope you will
Experience
the Exchange!!
HumayunJaved, Singapore – UBS, 2010
The LC here has been really supportive in helping me settle in and finding a place and the intern community is quite strong. We have 10-15 interns from different places (mostly Asia) and we meet regularly for lunch etc - it's great to have people you can instantly connect with and rely on for help.
AdeelNaeem (AIESEC Lahore) and JawadLatif (AIESEC Islamabad) now work here in permanent roles and have been a great support. I also met some people I have met in other countries at conferences or know through friends - quite interesting how small and accessible the AIESEC world is :)The role's quite interesting too - Legal and Compliance - upcoming thing in the financial sector with all the regulators putting their foot down to better
regulate the financial institutions - there's a lot happening and changing and it's all quite interesting to see things developfrom UBS' perspective. And since Singapore's a hub of sorts, we also look at other countries in the region which makes things even more interesting....
Soban Khan, Kenya, 2009 I like to think that it was my primitive evolutionary connection that attracted me to Africa, the birth
place of the earliest modern humans. But regardless of the primordial connection, what made it
possible was AIESEC.
AIESEC Kenya was always there to help out. If any of you want to do an exchange, I would tell you...
Kindly, do yourself a favour and do it, while all along doing others a favour
through some of the amazing volunteer opportunities AIESEC has to offer. Also
I must encourage you in the financial sense that it was not very expensive.
