Th   d  i   d  d   id li  The academy is operated under guidelines established by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and the Peace Officer of Georgia (TCSG) and the Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST)700 hours of training covered over two 700 hours of training covered over two quarters.Each class will have 40 students.  Two classes 4are offered per year.Students take 8 courses the first quarter and

certified and graduate from the academy.

A   t d t  h  f il    th  t  t t   ill Any student who fails more than two tests will be dismissed from the academy. Any student who fails to qualify with a firearm will be q ydismissed from the academy. Any student who exceeds the minimum allowed absences will be dismissed from the academy  There are no dismissed from the academy. There are no exceptions.All students must pass a background investigationinvestigation.Classes are Monday thru Friday and generally last from 8:00am to 4:30pm3 p
