OFSC Newsletter Orillia Figure Skating Club July 2020 From all of our skaters to their coaches and friends: We miss you and we miss the rink. Thanks for an amazing season. Update on COVID-19. We continue to miss our skating families, and we hope that everyone is staying safe and practising social distancing. Arenas are starting to open very slowly in some communities around us. Skate Ontario has provided initial guidelines for the safe return to skating. As of June 29 th , All Star Skate levels are allowed on the ice with a maximum of 10 people on the ice surface at one time. Facilities are also working on protocols to keep people safe, and limit the number of people in the arena. We are hopeful that Rotary Place will open sometime in mid- August. The Orillia Figure Skating Club continues to take advice from the province of Ontario, the city of Orillia, Skate Canada and Skate Ontario. Please visit our website for more updates as they become available. Congratulations! Congratulations to coach Susan Scott who has been coaching for 30 years this past season! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! Congratulations to coach Erin Csumrik-Shaw who has been coaching for 10 years this past season! We are so happy you are a part of our team!

This summer we are having a Bottle & Can Drive fundraiser!!! All proceeds will be going
to the STAR Enhancement team!
Our first Bottle & Can drop off will be Friday July 3rd from 5-8pm @ 247 John St. Orillia.
Please separate bottles and cans. Please put all cans in clear plastic bags and label
how many cans are in the bag.
Unfortunately, due to Covid, there will be no time or space for gathering and catching up!
We will be taking all safety precautions, to
keep all our parents and skaters safe!
