The ball, the team, the bench, the coach, the referee, the goalpost, the dressing rooms, the stand, the shirt colors, the chants. Are these enough to convey what “football” means? Probably not. Football has the power to form “families” and sworn enemies, the power to move, to enchant, to passionate. Football has the power to captivate milions of fans and produces stories that are narrated through the years. Football may be the most team sport and at the same time the most personal one. This time, the camera leaves the stand and enters the dressing rooms, in order to captivate in the most sincere way the stories that the king of sports has to narrate. The result; OFFSIDE Festival! Players who charmed fans and opponents, coaches that determined clubs' histories, fans and sportscasters, stand before the camera and recall glorious victories and devastating defeats, talk about teammates and opponents, legendary tournaments and unknown moments. Parenthesis, after IN-EDIT Festival, the biggest music documentary film festival in the world, presents for the first time in Greece OFFSIDE Festival. For three days, from the 25th until the 27th of May, Warehouse 1 (Port of Thessaloniki), hosts the first football documentary film festival and the audience of Thessaloniki has the chance to watch on the big screen the greatest football stories of all time, from Colombia and Brazil, to England and Spain.
