The STAUFF companies worldwide have many years of experience in serving customers in the Marine, Oil and Gas industry with a comprehensive range of fl uid technology equipment, which some of has been exclusively developed according to indivual requirements in these markets.
From fi shing boats, ocean-going cargo ships, passenger ferries and large cruise liners to naval vessels and submarines designed for military purposes – from luxury sailing and motor yachts to platform support vessels and other highly specialised applications such as pipe-laying ships and icebreakers – the STAUFF portfolio for the Marine industry is as varied as the areas in which the products are used.
STAUFF products play also play a crucial role in the Oil and Gas industry, which is usually divided into two major areas:
The upstream sector on the one hand is a term commonly used to refer to the searching for and the recovery and production of crude oil and natural gas. It includes the searching for potential underground or underwater oil and gas fi elds, drilling of exploratory wells, and subsequently operating them to bring the crude oil or natural gas to the surface. The downstream sector on the other hand refer’s to the selling and distribution of products derived from crude oil as well as natural gas. Amongst others, such products include gasoline or petrol, jet fuel, diesel oil, asphalt and liquifi ed petroleum gas.
