Invocation
It is good to recognize how different we are. Our talents, our dreams, our
backgrounds, our occupations. And it is good to know that when You
created each of us, Your broke the mold. No one is exactly like anyone else.
Even our thumbprint and our voice track tell us how unique we are. Yet, we
thank You that we can take these differences and mobilize them for the good
of Rotary and our community. In our differences we can think the same
thoughts and move together toward a common goal. Bless us as we meet
together. Thank You for our individuality and also for our common bond of
Rotary. Amen.

.

FELLOWSHIPSINGING
There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much
Brighter than tomorrow
And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to
cry
In this place you'll feel
There's no hurt or sorrow
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space
Make a better place
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make it a better place
For you and for me
If you want to know why
There's love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares of joyful giving
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear of dread
We stop existing and start
living
The it feels that always
Love's enough for us growing
So make a better world
Make a better place
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you
and for me
And the dream we were
conceived in
Will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once
believed in
Will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep
strangling life
Wound this earth, crucify its
soul
Though it's plain to see
This world is heavenly
Be god's glow
We could fly so high
Let our spirits never die
In my heart I feel you are all my
brothers
Create a world with no fear
Together we cry happy tears
See the nations turn their
swords into plowshares
We could really get there
If you cared enough for the
living
Make a little space
To make a better place
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you
and for me
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you
and for me
You and for me
HEAL THE WORLD

The pink ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness.
Pink ribbons, and the color pink in general, identify the wearer or promoter with the breast cancer brand and express moral support for women with breast cancer.
Pink ribbons are most commonly seen during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

JOKESVILLE
What’s the problem?
A man walks into a bar and says, "Give me a beer before the
problems start!“
He drinks the beer and then orders another saying, "Give me a
beer before the problems start!“
This goes on for a while, and after the fifth beer the bartender is
totally confused and asks the man "When are you going to pay
for these beers?"
The man answers, "You see…Now the problems start!"

PRESIDENT’STIME
It is a very special meeting for our club today. We welcome our
District Governor of the RY 2019-20 Philip Tan for a better
understanding of our club.
We are also very proud to have some special guests today and
that we are able to induct new Rotarians today also.
The last week was again full of schedules and preparation and
as your president I am hoping that all will be at least fine and
successful. But with you all at my side I know that our plans and
hopes will be fulfilled.
Thanks to these Rotarians who supported our RC Tagbilaran PINK CARAVAN to promote Breast
Cancer Awareness Month for PINK OCTOBER - the long Motorcade on October 04, started in
Tagbilaran City traversing 9 towns, stopping in every Municipality for Photo-Op with the Mayor or
his staff. This ended with a Symposium on EARLY CANCER DETECTION SAVES LIVES with
Dr. THERESA VILLANUEVA as Resource Speaker, who is a Rotaractor from our Rotaract Club
Community Based.
I also like to thank our PSAG Louella and PAG Victor Bantol for the delicious fellowship lunch in
their house last October 8. In the afternoon we were able to show our Governor Philip the project
with RC Jagna, our “ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP GARDEN” in the property of
Bohol Limestone Corporation, ending with a special blast for us and our guest. And even if some
plants and trees are growing slow and the area is big – but at least our dream is to end up with a
wonderful area for recreation.
We live according to the Rotary motto “Service above self” and as true Rotarians we just want to
help the community and environment in several ways.
This is why I am also very grateful for the help of our local and provincial government in persons
of our Rotarian and City Mayor Baba Yap and our incoming Rotarian Provincial Governor Art Yap.
Thanks so much – together we can achieve a lot for our beloved Bohol!
My very special thanks go to a person without whom the club is unthinkable: our PSAG Louella
Bantol. Her way to celebrate her birthday is being here for Rotary.
Baby, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, we wish you a very special coming new year of life. Thanks for your
constant support for Rotary.
Your Champion President
Irena M. Heberer

Bayang magiliw
Perlas ng silanganan
Alab ng puso
Sa dibdib mo'y buhay
Lupang Hinirang
Duyan ka nang magiting
Sa manlulupig
Di ka pasisiil
Sa Dagat at bundok sa simoy
At sa langit mo'y bughaw
May dilag ang tula
At awit sa paglayang minamahal
Ang kislap ng watawat mo'y
Tagumpay na nagniningning
Ang bituin at araw niya'y kailan
Pama'y di magdidilim
Lupa ng araw ng luwalhati't pagsinta
Buhay ay langit sa piling mo
Aming ligaya nang pag
May mang-aapi
Ang mamatay ng dahil sayo
Yuta kong minahal,
Hatag ni Bathala;
Sa adlaw’g gabi-i,
Taknang tanan
Dinasig sa kinaiyahan
Sa mga bayaning yutawhan
Imong kalinaw gi-ampingan
Lungsod sa bungtod nga matunhay
Ug matam-is nga kinampay
Puti ang kabaybayunan
Walog sa suba binisbisan
Bahandi sa dagat ug kapatagan
Gugma ang tuburan
Sa kagawasan sa tanan
Panalanginan ka
Ihalad ko lawas ug kalag
Sa mutya kong Bohol.

I want to be, A Rotarian for the world
Make the Rotary flag, be the flag of peace unfurled
I will serve my community
Help to seek international unity
Thru Rotary, I will dedicate my all
World understanding shall be my cherished goal
With the Four Way Test
I'll pursue my quest
And I in a way help obtain
Peace in the world
Then I won't have lived in vain.
I'll observe Service Above Self
Lend a hand to all who'll need my help
I'll get my spouse to involve in Rotary
And in Rotary ways, I will train my family
With the Four Way Test
We'll pursue our quest
And we in a way help obtain
Peace in the world
Then we won't have lived in vain.
Build a bridge for tomorrow's youth
Strengthened by nothing but the truth
Let's join our hands, there's no reason to divide
We shall all understand, while the good Lord is our guide
With the Four Way Test
We'll pursue our quest
And we in a way help obtain
Peace in the world
Then we won't have lived in vain.

❖ Promoting Peace Today, 42 million people are displaced by armed conflict orpersecution. Through our partnerships with several leading universities, Rotary Peace Fellows
develop the skills to strengthen peace efforts, train local leaders to prevent and mediate conflict,
and support long-term peace building in areas affected by conflict. We provide up to 100 peace
fellowships per year at Rotary Peace Centers.
❖ Fighting Disease More than 100 million people are pushed into poverty each yearbecause of medical costs. We aim to improve and expand access to low-cost and free health care
in underdeveloped areas. Our members educate and mobilize communities to help prevent the
spread of major diseases such as polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria. Many of our projects ensure that
medical training facilities are located where the workforce lives.
❖ Providing Clean Water More than 2.5 billion people lack access to adequatesanitation facilities. At least 3,000 children die each day from diarrheal diseases caused by
unsafe water. Our projects give communities the ability to develop and maintain sustainable
water and sanitation systems and support studies related to water and sanitation.
❖ Saving Mothers and Children At least 7 million children under the age offive die each year due to malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. To help
reduce this rate, we provide immunizations and antibiotics to babies, improve access to essential
medical services, and support trained health care providers for mothers and their children. Our
projects ensure sustainability by empowering the local community to take ownership of health
care training programs.
❖ Supporting Education Sixty-seven million children worldwide have no access toeducation and more than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our goal is to
strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender
disparity in education, and increase adult literacy
❖ Growing Local Economies Nearly 1.4 billion employed people live on lessthan $1.25 a day. We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community
development and develop opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old. We
also help strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in
impoverished communities.
