Notification

1. Right to information Act – 2005 has came into force with effect from 11-10-

2005.

2. Application should be submitted in prescribed format. Application format

will be available free in this office .

3. Prescribed format should be filled fully and submitted to administrative

branch in this office along with fees of Rs.10/- through either postal order or

DD or cash.

4. The applicants will be informed within 7 days from the date of receipt of

application to pay the fees if necessary.

5. Information will be provided within 30 days from date of application.

6. Information will be provided within 15 days if necessary.

7. If the information sought has not been provided with in the stipulated time

limit of 30 days the applicant may submit the appeal to the commission.

8. The Senior Geologist Dept. Of Mines and Geology, Haveri is the Competent

Authority to provide the information under RTI Act.

9. The Additional Director (Ground Water), Dept of Mines and Geology,

Bangalore is the Competent authority for submission of RTI appeals.
