NEW SUPERINTENDENT NAMED FOR MERIDIAN DISTRICT

On Sunday, February 13th, Bishop Hope Morgan Ward announced the appointment of Rev. Jimmy Curtis as the new Superintendent of the Meridian District. This appointment will take place at the end of June.

Rev. Curtis will follow Rev. Tim Thompson, who will become the new Administrative Assistant to Bishop Ward in Jackson, also at the end of June. We are grateful for Tim’s leadership in the Meridian District over the last few years and look forward to time with him before he leaves Meridian. We pray God’s blessings on him in his new assignment.

We also welcome Rev. Curtis to the Meridian District after a fruitful ministry at Trinity UMC in Gulfport.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

Beginning March 1st, and every Tuesday during the month of March, Central will host approximately 65 ladies from East Mississippi State Hospital for our yearly Circle of Friends.

Please donate the following items:Gently used purses and wallets, travel amenities (soaps, shampoo, small pkgs of kleenex etc.) toothpaste and toothbrushes, hairbrushes and combs, new unused makeups, costume jewelry, esp. bracelets, stuffed animals, fl ip fl op shoes, small pkgs of Little Debbies, Cheetos, Nabs, Pringles, small can drinks and Money is ALWAYS very helpful. You can drop your donations off at the church offi ce or call me to pick them up.
