Accept your offer of admission online through MyPennState at admissions.psu.edu/mypennstate (click on Accept your offer of admission), or sign and return the Acceptance Notification you received with your offer of admission along with the acceptance fee. If accepting by mail, please keep a copy of the signed Accep-tance Notification for your records. Please note the reply date on the Accep-tance Notification from Penn State; replying after that date may void your offer of admission.

When you accept your offer of admission, we need to provide you with a permanent Penn State account known as a Penn State Access Account. Activating your Penn State Access Account will be the first step in accepting your offer of admis-sion. Your Access Account will allow you to use LionPATH, Penn State’s enrollment management system. Through LionPATH, you will view your student aid package, schedule classes, pay your tuition, and conduct other business with the Univer-sity. You can activate your Penn State Access Account now before accepting your offer of admission in order to see your financial aid package when it becomes available. You’ll find instructions on activating your account on MyPennState where you see your admission decision. Activating your Penn State Access Ac-count prior to accepting your offer of admission does not obligate you to attend Penn State.

Admission Checklist

Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at fafsa.ed.gov if you haven’t already done so. Penn State’s priority filing date is February 15. Visit the Office of Student Aid website, studentaid.psu.edu, for more information. Penn State will begin making student aid awards in March.

Meet with an academic adviser in the Division of Undergraduate Studies during New Student Orientation to discuss a plan for entering an academic college and declaring a major.

Pay your semester bill. Tuition bills are generated by the Office of the Bursar approximately six weeks before classes begin and can be paid online through your LionPATH Student Center (lionpath.psu.edu). When your bill is ready, you will receive an email at your Penn State email address with instruc-tions on how to complete payment. Please visit bursar.psu.edu for more information on semester bills and payment plan options.

Submit immunization forms. Penn State requires all students to have the Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunization. Additionally, all students living in Univer-sity-owned residence halls must have the Meningococcal Meningitis vaccination. Immunization information can be entered online at studentaffairs.psu.edu/health/myUHS/.

Arrive on campus for classes. New students arrive on campus about four days before classes begin and take part in Welcome Week activities to meet fellow students, as well as faculty and staff on campus.

Admission into the Division of Undergraduate Studies with ConditionsAdmission into the Division of Undergraduate Studies with conditions is an alternative to direct admission. It is designed for applicants who hold a high school diploma or equivalent but may not otherwise meet the initial criteria for entrance to the University or a particular program. Admission into the Division of Undergraduate Studies with conditions provides an opportunity to prepare for admission to a specific academic college or major.

Students admitted into the Division of Under-graduate Studies with conditions may enroll full or part-time and may take any course as long as prerequisites have been met. A student will be dropped from conditional status after completing 27 credits if, at that time, his or her GPA is less than 2.0 (C). A student may not register in conditional status beyond the semester in which he/she com-pletes 36 or more credits, regardless of GPA.

Changing to an Academic CollegeStudents offered admission into the Division of Undergraduate Studies with conditions may request admission to an academic college as baccalaureate degree candidates during the semester in which they expect to complete 18 credits (9 credits if seeking admission to a two-year degree program) with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 or C. Some academic colleges may have higher GPA require-ments and specific course requirements. In addi-tion, any required high school courses not complet-ed in high school must be satisfied by completing specific college-level substitutions.

Students admitted into the Division of Under-graduate Studies with conditions are encouraged to apply to their academic college or major early in the semester in which they expect to complete the requirements noted above. Admission, if approved, would be for a subsequent semester. To move from Division of Undergraduate Studies with conditions to an academic college, please complete the form at admissions.psu.edu/apply/requirements/DUScondi-tions/. Students should have final high school and post-high school transcripts on file at the time of application.
