Jack Lantern’s Corn Maze transforms into a haunted place full of monsters and creatures searching for their vic-tims. As you wander aimlessly through-out the maze, the moonlight is your only source of light to guide you down paths of darkness! Cost $20 for mem-bers and $25 for non-members. Sign up by October 18. Youth Sports Coaches Needed Soccer, basketball, baseball, T-ball, flag football, tennis and golf. We need a minimum of 16 coaches to begin sports leagues (four coaches for each age group). October 21, 10:30 a.m. - Grap-pling Tournament Join us as we host our first ever grappling tourna-ment at Freedom Hall Fitness Center! Men and women will each have four weight divisions, subject to change with sign ups. All participants MUST sign up by October 19. Uniform for participants will be “No Gi”, board shorts, leggings etc. Males and fe-males must wear a top and bottom that meets the Fitness Center dress code. You will have to completely eat 3 wings from heat 1 before you can go to heat 2, etc.. Whomever can make it to heat 5 will just have to eat 1 to win a prize. Two catches: no drinks allowed and no moving for-ward to next level until everyone has finished the current level or bailed out. ments and door prize drawings while getting a jump start on this year’s ski season by stopping in for our Pre-Season ski/snowboard rental fittings. Check out our winter inventory, re-serve your seasonal ski or snowboard package, purchase season passes and lift tickets. Fill out an initial rental form or update your existing rental registration cards to speed up your check-out the entire season.

Season Rentals Available November 20! Ski/snowboard sea-son rentals will be ready for pickup 20 November. Weekend/daily Ski and snowboard rentals will not be available until November 22 to al-low our technicians plenty of time to get out season rentals ready. Rental equipment will not be included in trip pricing this year due to pre/post trip maintenance and accountability, instead we will offer a 50% discount on the daily/weekend rate for open enrollment Outdoor Adventure Pro-gram trips.

Season Ski/Snowboard Passes Available!

Discounted 2017-2018 Military season passes will be available for purchase at Outdoor Recreation again this year. Prices are still being nego-tiated with resorts and will be pub-lished on our Facebook page (FE War-ren AFB Outdoor Recreation) as soon as we get them. Active Duty, Reserv-ists, National Guard, Retired military and their Dependents w/ID card are eligible to purchase season passes for most local major ski resorts.

October 5 - 9Labyrinth Canoe Multi-Day

Paddle, Green River, UTCost: $175. Active Duty and

Dependents, $75Age: 14+The Green River offers what is

considered by many to be the pre-mier calm water canoe and flatwater kayak trip in America. This trip goes 45 miles between Ruby Ranch and Mineral Bottom on the Green River in Utah north of Canyonlands National Park. Labyrinth Canyon is known for its massive beautiful walls and oasis landscape surrounding the river. This entire section is flat water and can be done with no technical experience. You will have your choice of canoe or kayak as we paddle roughly 15 miles each day, packing our camping gear in tow from riverside camp to river-side camp. We will be able to take in the sights of desert canyon walls and check out canyon hikes as we float the river. Food is included, as well as gear, transportation, and guides. This is one trip NOT TO MISS! Pre-trip meeting is October 2, 5 p.m. Pre-register by October 2.

October 8Pumpkin’ Chuckin’Cost: $25Time: TBDPumpkin’ Chuckin’ Colorado is the

signature fall event presented by the city of Aurora. The event features a pumpkin chunking competition that is one of only five such events sanc-tioned by the World Championship Pumpki’n Chuckin’ organization. The fun-filled day event also features family-friendly festival activities like live music, face painting, pony rides, crafts, there will also be a pumpkin patch and blow-up corn maze. indoor rock wall at ODR. We will cover

knot tying, harness fitting, climbing equipment, commands, and proper belay technique. After successful completion of the class, you will have the ability to test off to achieve your belay certification card making you eligible to belay at the ODR indoor rock wall unsupervised. try our hands on some real rock. No experience necessary to attend as we will be setting up a wide range of climbs for first timers all the way up to those tough guys. Location is to be determined based on condition but no matter where we head expect great quality climbs and spectacular views! Transportation, equipment, and in-struction provided. Remember to pack a sack lunch, appropriate clothing for the weather, sunscreen, cameras, and water! Pre-register by Oct. 11.

the local swimming pool or you’ve dived in the tropics, you’ll love the experience of swimming with the fish at the Denver Aquarium! No experi-ence needed. If you are comfortable in the water you will do just fine. This program is for Active Duty families with children under the guidance of the Fit Families Initiative only, ask if you qualify! October 20 - 21Intro to Lead ClimbingCost: $25Time: Fri: 4 - 6 p.m.; Sat: 8

a.m. - 5 p.m.It’s time to take your climbing to

the next level. This two-part program will teach you the gear and skills needed to take your climbing from indoors to outdoors as you learn the skill of sport lead climbing. We will be introducing you to the techniques in the safety of our indoor facility on Friday night before heading out to the crag to put your new skills to use as we ascent from the ground up. Prior climbing experience and a belay certification needed. Pre-register by Oct,. 18.
