The Plot
The story is about two men George and Lennie. They are planning to get a piece of land and own it themselves.
George
George is the leader of the two, he takes care of Lennie and does most of the talking for him as well.
Lennie
Lennie is the bigger and stronger man of the two. Because he has some kind of mental difficulties it causes trouble for people, mainly George.
The story begins with Lennie and George at a lake. There it is explained how the two came to be there and what their goal is for the future.
They start working on a ranch to start earning money to buy the piece of land that they want.
Not long after arriving they meet Curley. He does not like Lennie because he is bigger than him.
Curley has a wife and George tells Lennie to stay away from her because she will only cause trouble.
One day Curley picks a fight with Lennie and Lennie breaks his hand.
While no one was around Lennie accidentally killed both a puppy and Curley’s wife.
Because of what he did at the end of the story George shoots Lennie.
