We are pleased to present our NEW 2020/2021 Tour Catalogue in which you will find a great variety of tours. We are excited as 2020 marks our 35th Anniversary in business.

On November 2, 1985 our company began with a bus trip to St. Jacobs and Elmira. Day trips continue to be an integral part of Hamilton Tours. Thirty-five years later our business has expanded to include: travel that combines not only the motor coach component but flights, trains and cruising. Our overnight destinations offer a selection of short getaways to premier comprehensive, extended tours within Canada, U.S.A. and overseas. Whether we fly to our destination or drive the entire route, the motor coach component is the major factor of each and every tour.

Work will begin in April on our Supplement Tour Catalogue that will be mailed out this summer.

Please note our Office hours listed below. We will continue to take the Friday off of the Long Weekends and stretch the Statuary holidays into a mini vacation for our staff.

Mon., May 4 – Dini Petty, Guest Speaker Series at the HotHouse Restaurant & Bata Shoe Museum She was a Canadian television and radio host. At 22 years of age, she put on her trademark pink jumpsuit and started working for Toronto radio station CKEY as a traffic announcer. Dini was the first female to pilot her own helicopter. She is a writer and was a reporter and co-anchored with Gord Martineau at City Pulse. Dini was the host of City Line and then the Dini Petty show. Thurs., May 7 - Come Tip Toe through the Tulips at the Royal Botanical Gardens & the Canadian Warplane Heritage MuseumThe Warplane Museum is a Canadian aviation museum located at the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport in Hamilton, Ontario. The museum has 36 military jets, propeller-driven aircraft and helicopters on display. Displayed is a collection of Canadian military aircraft, many in flying condition. The Avro Lan-caster flown by the museum is one of only two airworthy Lancaster’s in the world. The internationally recognized RBG Rock Garden reopened in May of 2016 after a three-year, $20-million rejuvenation project. The original Rock Garden was a Depression-era project that transformed an abandoned gravel pit into a majestic bowl using 10,000 tons of limestone and 45,000 perennial plants. It is now con-sidered one of North America’s top five garden experience destinations. It has fully accessible paths, extensive water features, three new garden areas and a visitor centre with café. Wed., May 13 - On Golden Pond at the Hamilton Theatre, Cambridge Ethel and Norman Thayer are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the 48th year for some much-needed rest and relaxation. Their delightful summer routine is thrown for a loop when their daughter Chelsea visits for her dad’s 80th birthday, bringing her boyfriend Bill and his teenage son in tow. After an unex-pected relationship blooms, fraught family dynamics come to the forefront as they are forced to navigate the generation gap through zippy, tart-tongued observations on fishing, literature, slang, marriage ... and their own mortality. In 1967 the Presley Family bought a piece of land on an isolated two-lane stretch of asphalt and built a theatre that has become a Branson Landmark. Day 1: Wed., April 7 - Our tour departs from Stayner, Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store and Tour Office. Times will be confirmed closer to the date. We will travel by motor coach to Pearson International Airport for our overnight KLM flight arriving in Amsterdam in the morning. Savour springtime in Holland and Belgium with a cruise that is sure to leave truly memorable impressions. Amsterdam is a city filled with classic architecture, cafés, restaurants and canals.Day 2: Thurs., April 8 - Transfer to our coach and travel to the dock where you will board your ship and unpack once for a relaxing 7-night river cruise. Your beautiful vessel offers the newest technology, panoramic deck, panorama bar, deli-cious cuisine including regional wines with every dinner, and outstanding service. (B & D)Day 6: Fri., Aug. 20 - Whitehorse: Today we will explore the town, starting with a visit to the Whitehorse Fish Ladder. It is the world’s lon-gest wooden fish ladder that helps migrating Chinook salmon on the final leg of their jour-ney. Then it is on to the Yukon Beringia Inter-pretive Centre, S.S. Klondike Paddle wheeler & photo stops. The balance of the day is free. You might choose to ride the train along the waterfront, go shopping, hike one of the great trails along the Yukon River, explore the town or perhaps just relax with a good book. (B & D)Day 7: Sat., Aug. 21 - Dawson City: Following the same basic route as the old prospectors of the Klondike Gold Rush we will drive to Dawson City our home for the next two nights. We will make photo stops and meal breaks along the way, stopping at Braeburn for cinnamon buns in the morning, Five Finger Rapids at noon and Moose Creek Lodge in the afternoon. Dawson City is a national historic treasure. The old buildings have been preserved from the gold rush period at the turn of the 20th century, making you feel like you’ve travelled back to those color-ful times. Overnight: Westmark Inn (B & D)Day 8: Sun., Aug. 22 - Dawson City: Today you will take a Gold Panning tour and learn all about the history of the gold rush, gold panning techniques as well as more large scale methods of prizing the shiny metal out of the earth. You may want to see Pierre Burton’s homestead, visit the Robert Service Cabin or Diamond Tooth Gertie’s, visit the quaint shops or just relax in this peaceful village setting. (B)Day 9: Mon., Aug. 23 - Fairbanks: The drive to Fairbanks takes you to the Top of the World and back. This highway gives you sense of the vastness of the land. We will enter Alaska at Poker Creek, travelling through unique settlements like Chick-en and Tok as we make our way to the northern terminus of the Alaska Highway in Fairbanks. Overnight: Bear Lodge at the Wedgewood Resort (B & L)Day 10: Tues., Aug. 24 - Fairbanks: Sternwheelers once serviced the gold seekers in Dawson by navigating the Yukon River all the way through Alaska from the Ber-ing Sea. Today, you can relive some of that experience on the Riverboat Discovery Cruise. You’ll see a wonderful interpretive site depicting Alaska of old as well as


have a chance to see a dog sled demonstration. This afternoon will be free time at the resort to explore the Antique Auto Museum, walk the trails or visit the Wedge-wood Wildlife Sanctuary which is a beautiful, 75-acre refuge that provides habitat for a variety of Interior Alaska’s wildlife, located next to Wedgewood Resort. This evening we will visit Pioneer Park to enjoy a Salmon BBQ dinner and Vaudeville show. (B & D) Day 11: Wed., Aug. 25 - Denali Park/Denali: This morning we’ll enjoy a late checkout from our hotel. We will travel through Denali National Park with hopes of viewing Mt. McKinley, the highest mountain on the continent, as we make our way to the Denali Interpretative Centre. (B) Day 12: Thurs., Aug. 26 - Denali Park/Anchorage: This morning will be an early rise as we are booked for a Natural History Tour of Denali Park which will take us to Mile 17 within the park limits with hopes of viewing wildlife in their natural habitat. aboard the “Scenic Railway of the World” to the White Pass Summit. We begin our excursion as we board the train in Skagway and travel 20 miles from tidewater, to the Summit of the White Pass – a 2,865 foot elevation! We will return to the town by bus, making photo stops enroute. RATES: Tour rates are calculated according to transportation fares and accommoda-tion rates in effect as of February 2020. Although efforts are made to maintain the tour rates as published, Hamilton Tours Ltd. reserves the right to adjust prices at any time should this become necessary.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS: Overnight Tours require a set deposit that is listed in the itinerary within 14 days of booking. If the deposit is not received within this time peri-od, reservations may be cancelled. The balance of payment due date, is also listed with the itinerary therefore guaranteeing the confirmed rate. When reservations are received less than 45 days prior to departure, full payment is required immediately.

FORMS OF PAYMENT: Payment by cheque is preferred, with the date of the tour in the Memo portion. We do accept cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard.Cheques must be made payable to Hamilton Tours Ltd. A service charge of 2% will be added to credit card purchases. TAX: H.S.T. charges, if any, that apply to the cost of your tour are included in the price. Prices are all in Canadian dollars.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS: Canadian Citizens are required to present a valid passport when travelling outside of Canada. We require that you provide us with your Passport number & expiration date, your name as it appears on your passport and your birthdate for all international tours. Please note that entry into another country may be refused even if the required information and travel documents are complete. Living standards and practises at your destination may differ from those found in Canada.

PRICE INCREASES: This contract permits price increases. No price increases are permitted after the customer has paid in full. If the price increase is more that 7% (except resulting from an increase in retail sales tax or federal Good and Services Tax or Harmonized Sales Tax), the customer has the right to cancel the contract and obtain a full refund.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Hamilton Tours Ltd. strongly recommends the purchase of insurance for overnight tours. Our office offers travel insurance for tour and individual travel. Insurance is quoted on an individual basis and should be arranged and paid for at the time of booking. If insurance is declined, a waiver must be signed and returned to our office prior to departure. All tour itineraries are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice. Hamilton Tours Ltd. shall have no responsibilities beyond their re-fund of all monies paid by the passenger, which is deemed to constitute full settlement.

The tour organizer reserves the right to decline any person as a member of the tour at any time before or during the tour should such person’s presence be considered detrimental to the interest, comfort and enjoyment of the other tour members.
