Examination of the nominations lodged by sub-Branches for the election of State Council for the period 2011-2014 has now been completed.

It is advised that more than the required number of nominations have been lodged and it will be necessary to decide the issue by ballot. The positions and candidates are detailed below.

Voting is preferential, which requires every box on the ballot paper to be numbered in order of preference. One Vice President per area (Metropolitan, Southern Country and Northern Country) will be elected and the candidate with the highest number of votes in that area will be declared Vice-President in accordance with Clause 31.9 of the Constitution.

Please note that the envelopes provided will be colour coded with coloured dots to correspond with the same colour as the ballot paper for that particular election.

Ballot papers should only be returned in the envelope with the same coloured dot (i.e. YELLOW for State President, PINK for Honorary State Treasurer, BLUE for State Councillor Southern Country, GREEN for State Councillor Northern Country and WHITE for State Councillor Metropolitan).

Please do not enclose any correspondence or material other than ballot papers in the election envelopes.

Ballot papers are to be returned so as to reach the Returning Officer, ANZAC House, 245 Castlereagh Street, Sydney 2000, no later than NOON on Monday 23rd May, 2011.
