Celebrating Yiddish Music Featuring Singer eresa Tova and Pianist David Warrack in honour of Lou & Edith Stillman Theresa Tova, "An Artist Canadians should celebrate", The Toronto Star. Recognized by NOW Magazine as one the Top Ten Toronto theatre artists of 2017 for her performances in Tough Jews and The Jazz Singer, Tova is an award-winning actor, writer and singer. Without a doubt one of the most versatile performers in Canada, some have written about this Yiddish Diva's "sultry voice" and "spontaneous wit", others about the natural way in which she has gone from Gemini nominated TV projects to the Broadway musical stage. Described by Planet Jazz as a "Towering, pan-cultural jazz-cabaret diva”, Tova has produced three critically acclaimed CDs; Telling Stories, Tova Live At The Top O’The Senator and You Ask Me Why, Tova Sings Beyle and tours festivals and jazz venues internationally. David Warrack has been musical director for more than 250 shows for television and stage in Canada and the US, including Broadway, and has been recording as a studio musician for four decades in every style imaginable. He arranges and orchestrates for ensembles from small jazz combos to symphony orchestras and has a huge catalogue of choral arrangements and compositions. He is credited with writing over 70 professionally produced musicals in a 40-year career, including some of the longest-running shows in Canadian Theatre History. He is the Founding Conductor of the Canada Pops Orchestra, and maintains a demanding concert schedule across North America as conductor and/or pianist.
