It is a time for heading out for the big hunt and visiting with friends & family. Thoughts also shift to holiday gift shopping and we have some great stocking stuffers for everyone!

With 6 different price points - $1 Merry Money, $2 Warm Winter Winnings, $3 Naughty or Nice Crossword, $5 Happy Holidays, $10 Holiday Dazzle, and the $15 Peng-Win Countdown - there is definitely something for everyone.

And let's not forget about the ever popular Holiday Raffle. Sales started on November 1st and will continue until 100,000 tickets are sold or December 6th rolls around. The drawing of winners will happen on December 7th leaving them plenty of time to use their winnings for holiday gifts or a fun winter vacation. With over 1000 prizes and just a $5 purchase price the Holiday Raffle is sure to sell out early.

This month marks my 1 year anniversary with the Wisconsin Lottery! It has been an great year in which I have learned many new things and met some amazing people. I am looking forward to meeting more of you as I continue my ride-alongs with the Field Marketing Reps.

Until next time, good luck to all of you hunters out there and have a great Thanksgiving.

Combine crossword with the naughty or

nice list and see where your name appears!

Security CornerBOLO!! (Be On the Look Out)There have been a number of incidents over the last month that have caught Security's attention and caused concern. While

Lottery tickets are not the only target, we have had a number of stores reporting thefts occurring after a clerk is distracted. For example: A person reports a rest-room plumbing issue to a clerk. The clerk is the only person on duty and leaves the counter to look at or fix the problem. While the clerk is checking out the restroom another person or persons steal Lottery tickets and other items.

If this happens, what do you do? 1. Call the police. 2. Call IGT Hotline and report the missing tickets. 3. Call the Wisconsin Lottery

Well placed cameras and an up-to-date camera systems can assist law enforcement, Lottery in-vestigators, and ultimately your bottom line. Equally important is the need to keep tabs on your inventory and alert the Lottery to any problems that you see –as quickly as possible.

Hartje's Travel Center, Market & Hardware

S1428A State Hwy 33LaValle, WI

La Valle is located in Sauk County, where Hwy 33 and Hwy 58 intersect.

This month we travel to the Village of LaValle in Northwestern Sauk County, a community packed with outdoor recreational opportunities. Our retailer of the month, Hartje's, is perfectly situated between Lake Redstone and Dutch Hollow Lake to serve both travelers and local residents.

The product offerings at Hartje's are truly amazing. What began as a business in the early '60s selling Massey-Ferguson tractors has grown into combination of businesses including a travel center with a BP gas station, a Do It Best Hardware store, a market, a sports & recreation store, and a cabin shop featuring antiques and home décor. If you visit in the summer you'll also find the LaValle Farmer's Market and Flea Market every Saturday located right outside Hartje's.

Lottery at Hartje's can be found in the Travel Center. It's well positioned on the counter with a ticket menu board displaying the current scratch tickets. They carry 16 facings which include all Wisconsin Lottery holiday games this time of year. The best selling price points are the $5 and $10 scratch tickets. Their players have been on a hot streak with four $1,000 winners this year from game #685 $1,000 Richer and one from #2022 Gem of a Crossword.

If you're planning a trip to the area, check out Hartje's website before your go (hartjefarmhomesports.com). You'll be amazed by what they have to offer!

WI Lottery Retailer Equipment Policy Effective: August 2017

It is the mission of the Wisconsin Lottery to provide property tax relief for Wisconsin homeowners. This policy reflects the placement of improved retailer equipment used to generate sales to provide those funds. The policy also ensures that non-compliance warnings, Retailer Performance Program (RPP) incentives, and ordering/wagering suppressions are administered uniformly.

The Wisconsin Lottery Retailer Contract provides authority for retailer equipment use in Section 2.0 (11), stating: Retailer shall use all equipment required by the Lottery. This equipment is not to be removed, defaced, or used for purposes other than those established by the Lottery. Periodic checks will be done to ensure operability and proper use of this equipment and that retailers are in compliance with the contract.

The following actions will be administered to any locations found to be non-compliant with the contract:

1st Non-compliance Location will receive a warning. While in a non-compliant status, location will be ineligible for RPP incentives. A follow up visit will be done to verify compliance.

2nd Non-complianceIf a 2nd visit results in non-compliance, ordering and wagering will be suspended at that location in addition to remaining ineligible for RPP incentives.

3rd/Final Non-complianceIf a final visit results in non-compliance, lottery contract will be terminated and all equipment removed.

How to Confirm Orders& Activate Packs Order CONFIRMATION CONFIRM your tickets on the terminal as soon as they are delivered. Home> Special Functions> Order Confirmation Confirmation lets the Lottery know you have received your delivery from Spee-Dee Delivery Service.

Pack ACTIVATION ACTIVATE each pack of tickets on the terminal when you are ready to put them in your dispenser. Remember only activate when you put them out to sell. Home> Special Functions> Pack Activation Activation lets the Lottery know which packs are out for sale to more accurately help determine what games you may need with your next order.

7November 2017Celebrating a Mega Winner$2.5 Million MegabucksJackpot Won in Oshkosh

Heinz Habermehl of Oshkosh is the lucky winner of $2.5 million from the September 20 Megabucks drawing. The winning numbers from Wednesday, September 20 were 4, 12, 17, 24, 39, and 43.

Habermehl, a self-described daily lottery player who plays Megabucks, purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Trip at 2115 Jackson Street in Oshkosh. He noted that he's been playing the lottery for many years and manually chose his winning numbers as opposed to using the quick pick option.

Habermehl, a retired welder, plans to use his winnings to help his kids, build up a nest egg and enjoy it with his family close to home noting that he doesn't have any big travel plans.

Retailers receive a 2% incentive of the winning ticket amount up to $100,000. Kwik Trip will receives $50,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Holiday Call ScheduleThe Lottery office will be closed on Thursday, November 23, 2017 for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will be open regular hours on Friday, November 24, 2017.

Retailers who normally receive their telemarketing call on Thursdays and Fridays will be asked to place an order for two weeks of inventory during their telemarketing call on Thursday & Friday, November 16th & 17th. Our new suggested ordering software will recommend the appropriate number of packs to cover two weeks based on store sales history. This should ensure plenty of stock for the busy holiday week. Ask your Telemarketing Representative for more information.
