Sarah, a 2007 graduate of Robert Lee High School currently teaches and is a coach for Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas. Rob, a 2008 graduate of Sweetwater High School is currently employed in Irving, Texas at the Las Colinas Country Club as the Assistant Superintendent. The couple spent their honeymoon in Sisters, Oregon and has made their new home in Coppell, Texas. On April 11, 2015, Robert Lee Silver Lions Club held their annual pancake supper at the Coke County Rec Hall. This event was well attended as usual with over 75 hungry folks in attendance. The main mission of Lions International is to help people who have a vision problem. We took on this mission in 1924 when Helen Keller challenged us to be “Knights of the Blind”. One way the Lions accomplish this mission is collection of prescription glasses and then recycling them. In an effort to help fulfill our mission, the club decided to accept a pair of glasses instead of the normal fee for the supper. The community responded by donating over 50 pairs of prescription glasses to the Lions Club. The club then took these glasses to the Lions Recycling Center in San Angelo pearl necklace, a gift from the groom, adorned her neck. A special penny was placed in her shoe by Kei Antilley, in memory of her son, Clay, the bride’s childhood friend. The bride also carried a clutch style bouquet that included the heirloom Bible that both her mother and grandmother carried on their wedding days. The bouquet incorporated gardenias, the bride’s father’s favorite flower, three white roses in honor of the bride and groom’s absent grandparents, hydrangea for the bride’s mother, and calla lillies for the groom’s mother. The groom wore a dark grey tuxedo with a paisley vest and necktie. His boutonniere was a mini calla lily with grey berry. Rex Headrick, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Max May, Thomas Reeves, and Daniel Reeves. The groomsmen wore dark grey tuxedos with grey striped ties and boutonnieres of white freesia and grey berry. The ring bearers were Jett Joyce and Sawyer Mecke, close family friends of the bride. The ring bearers wore light grey and white with specially designed paisley and polka dot bowties and suspenders. Sawyer carried a sign that read, “Wait ‘till you see her!” while Jett walked down the aisle with the heirloom pillow that was in the bride’s mother’s and grandmother’s weddings. Dinner and dancing immediately followed the ceremony. A delicious meal was prepared and served by the bride’s parents’ closest friends. They carried white clutch style bouquets of freesia, ranunculus, mini calla lilies, and roses. The flower girls were Claire Stallard and Carrigan Fears, cousins of the groom. The flower girls wore a white tulle tutu dress that had grey and white flowers embellished at the top and matching head bands and slippers. The bride wore an Allure, white, fit and flare gown with a fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline, embellished with Swarovski crystals. The V back was trimmed with covered buttons the full length of the dress and train. The entire design was trimmed with delicate lace applique on English net. The bride wore a full length crystal edged veil. A new
