Solorio has a proven track record. As our former State

Assemblyman, he refused to support changes to weaken

Proposition 13 protections for homeowners, and alsoled legislative efforts to cap excessive public employee

pensions, end state deficit spending and pay off debt.

Hell also demonstrate the value of having a local educator

in the State Senate. Solorio, President of the Rancho Santiago Community College

District Board, has worked to ensure greater access to higher education, to make college

more affordable, and to decrease the cost of college textbooks. As a visiting professor

at UC Irvine, Solorio has helped educate young adults on how government and public

policy works. Hes also the owner of his own marketing and public affairs firm, helping

small businesses overcome the challenges they routinely face.

Solorio is running for State Senate to keep government honest. Hes endorsed by the

California Small Business Association, the Association of California Highway Patrolmen

and the California Nurses Association, among others.

Jose Solorio attended Harvard University where he earned a Masters degree in public

policy. He was student body president at UC Irvine, which bestowed upon him a Bachelor

of Arts degree. Solorio lives with his wife, Linn, and sons Michael and Diego.
