Mediterraneans are working hard on the Med Nights, the resurrection of a neighbourhood work-

shop that will take place in Koprivnica, Croatia from 27th to 30th December. Med Nights face-

book group Things are going great, there are already participants from 10 different countries,

mostly from the region. The workshop will focus on the transition between two educational con-

Central Eastern people are trying to make Go East! 2014 awe-

some. Content staff applications closed, and we will announce the

don’t wait and don’t hesitate. From the information got from

some of the beautiful CEE NJRs, it seems we’ll have a big and

awesome group of participants. Just to remind you, all infor-

Wild West Weekend 2014

So Wild West Weekend 2014 is back for its

fifth edition. In 2014 WWW’14 will be hosted

by the beautiful country The Netherlands. It will

take place from the 6-9th March and will be

packed full of training, educational content, but

most importantly LOADS OF FUN!

You can join the facebook event here: Wild

West Weekend 2014, and you can see the pre-

info 1 here: WWW’14 precamp 1.

Wild Westerners apply through your NJRs, In-

ternationals join the facebook group and wait for

the application link. If you are interested in

helping with the facilitation of WWW’14, you

can apply to be a facilitator here: WWW’14 fa-

cilitator application.

Regional Training Forum

Regional Training Forums are an excellent opportunity to get

trained in a specific area of interest relevant to what you are doing

in CISV. Chapter Development Training is a fairly new one, but

since the beginning it started as a cooperation of Resources, Devel-

opment and Training Committee and Junior Branch by having

trainers deriving from both groups. This year it wasn’t any differ-

ent. Mateo (RDT) and Ola (EJBTeam) delivered a training to 14

participants, from which 11 were JBers. What has JB to do with

chapter development you may ask. Well, a lot. A good symbiosis

between chapter boards and JB is beneficial for both sides, chapter

goals and JB goals are not that different and we are all chapter

members after all. Also, during the training the participants had an

opportunity to evaluate their chapter, work on recruitment, fund-

raising and share best practises. All in friendly environment and

hospitality of the Slovenians. So, do not hesitate and send someone

from your chapter to the next RTF

IONICO

The participants were quite young and had different expectations. They expected something like their step

up, or youth meeting (flag time, more fun activities & energizers). We had a small delegation time each day.

On the second day of the camp they had already realized what the camp was all about and how important

was for them but they felt a little bored sometimes. On the third day everyone was very excited with some of

the cool activities and with all the things that they learned about JB. Nobody really knew what JB actually is

and it was a big revelation for them. Now, in their future goals being NJR is one of the biggest achievements.

How cool is that!! Everyone left the camp crying by the way…

The sessions were very informative, interesting and fun. The trainers were great and all the participants loved

them. They did a very good job preparing every detail of the programme and making it as interesting as pos-

sible.

To sum up, Ionico was awesome, it was definitely worth it and we want to do it again next year!
