Khushboo was established on 13 November 1995 as a non-profit organization under the Societies Act 1860

to provide holistic care and multifarious services to people with mental and multiple disabilities

Dear Friends

The last quarter has been very exciting and encouraging for the Khushboo Family

Khushboo was honoured with the ldquoMahatma Award for Social Good 2019rdquo as a recognition for its efforts in

the wellbeing and care of specially abled children

Our children made us very proud by actively participating in National Coaching Camps held by Special

Olympics Bharat in sports like Cricket Volleyball Floorball and Cycling and Ice skating Our corporates

partners continued their support through both monetary as well as non monetary ways

ldquoDisability Weekrdquo was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in a very different way

Work at the Tauru Campus is steadily progressing While the layout planning as well as the government

approvals should get completed soon the challenge of raising funds for the project remains a huge taskWe

hope we will be able to raise sufficient money to start the construction at an early date

I thank you for your support and urge you to continue to support us in making a significant difference in the

lives of children under our care and also enable us to reach out to many more children

Disability weekrsquo 2019

Khushboo celebrated lsquoDisability weekrsquo 2019 During the week long activities children of regular schools

participated in the painting competition and we also organised a talk with the students to sensitize and spread

awareness on Disability inclusion and Human Rights

Celebration of the World Disability Day and International Day of Human Rights

The week-long celebration of the Disability Week ended with a grand event at Khushboo

The event comprised of the following

-An exhibition all the participating paintings of the Inter School painting competition

-A cultural program by the children

-An entertaining Bollywood quiz on Disability for participants from Corporates

-Prize Distribution for the award winning paintings

Mahatma Award for Social good-2019

Khushboo has won ldquoMahatma Award for Social good-2019 for the care of the Mentally

ChallengedThe award was given on 1st Oct 2019 at Crown Plaza Gurgaon by Mrs Rajshree Birla of

Aditya Birla group This award recognizes the work done by the employees in taking care of the special

children and will motivate them to put in even greater efforts

Our 4 Children participated in an event lsquoRoshnirsquo organised for Special Children and Youth by lsquoConcern India

Foundationrsquo at Lok Kala Manch Delhi They took part in the Solo and Group song activities

Dussehra Celebration

Dussehra was celebrated at the Centre A dance program was performed by the children followed by

alight the effigy of Ravana

Christmas Celebration

Christmas Day was celebrated at the Centre Children participated in Christmas carols and Dance

Childrenrsquos Day CelebrationChildrenrsquos day was celebrated at the Center All the children participated in sports and fun activities

Mid Term Parents MeetingMid Term Parentrsquos Meeting was held in Centre In this meeting following points were discussed

- What is good and we should continue

- What is not good and we should discontinue

- What are the new thingsactivities we should start

- Suggestions regarding the proposed Residential Facility at Tauru

An inter-school painting competition was held on the topic ldquoInclusion amp Disabilityrdquo The winners were judged by a

jury comprising of some accomplished painters as under

15 Employees from the Pixylz-online Photo Printing Platform Company visited our Centre They interacted with the

children and purchased handmade greeting cards made by our children

ldquoFamily Dayrdquo of FidelityFidelity Company invited our children to attend their ldquoFamily Dayrdquo function 9 children and 2 staff members

from our Centre attended that function

Mr Tony with his Team from Fidelity visited Khushboo to see the working of the Centre with regard to

these children with disabilities

Chief Procurement Officer from British Telecom Company visited our Centre with his team of 25 people
