The activity was held on December 12, 2016 at the IRTC Conference Hall. Dr. Pili in her intro-duction, good-humouredly said that the special lecture was her Christmas gift for the IRTC staff because according to her, for the span of two and a half years since she became the TUP President she did not have the opportunity to handle this sort of
activity. The highlights of Dr. Pili’s lecture were the following points: Defini-tion of instructional ma-terials; Designing of
instructional materials; Developing instructional materials and evaluating instructional materials. At the latter part of her lecture, Dr. Pili presented a book which she au-thored, “Science in To-day’s World,” G-7 to G-10: K-12 compliant. She showed the participants how its contents were structured and designed based on contemporary concept and explained to them how books are made relevant to its readers. She also pre-sented the laboratory manuals and teachers’ guides of her book, “Science in Today’s World” in order to provide
the participants the idea on how the contents of manuals and guides could appropriately be derived from a textbook.
Dr. Pili is presented a Certificate of Appreciation by Engr. Teodi-
nis P. Garcia, IRTC Director and Engr. Nenet C. Graza, former
IRTC Director.
