Mr. Bob Shea gives 30-minute guided tours of the stained glass windows on the second Sunday of each month at 12:00 Noon. (Next available tour: TODAY.) These tours highlight some of the more than 35 windows in our church and cover both the art history and religious aspects. These beautiful windows were installed by the Emil Frei Company more than a hundred years ago. The tours are free of charge. Please bring your binoculars. Every month these tours are slightly different, em-phasizing different aspects of the windows. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the treas-ures of St. Francis de Sales Oratory.

Please remember St. Francis de Sales Oratory in your Will or Living Trust. An appropriate Will or Trust provision would be: "I give __________ to The Friends of St. Francis de Sales Oratory, Inc., St. Louis, Missouri, for the Or-atory's unrestricted use."

The remaining balance of $48,812.25 for the budget year 2015/16 has been paid from funds set aside for other pressing projects around the campus.

Our 2016-2017 Insurance assessment is:

$89,625.00.

So far we have received $15,432.00 for this fiscal year that has just begun. If you would like to donate, please use the envelope Insurance Assessment which is mailed out monthly to all registered mem-bers of the Oratory.

W ? Two things: (1.) The static reservoir which regulates the air-pressure has begun to fall apart at the seams. Once the reservoir falls apart, the organ will not have the air pressure it needs for the pipes to sound. The organ will be completely silent. (2.) The mechanical machines (balance valves) that exist beneath every large pipe of our organ are made of magnets, wiring, and leather. The leather has deteriorated to the point that those ma-chines no longer function, causing many of the pedal pipes to sound simultaneously. C ? The organ can be repaired! However, this won’t be an easy fix and the Oratory must progress pru-dently. H ? The complete restoration will be broken into three phases totaling $320,000. The first phase will cost $49,000 and will get the organ up and running once again. The second phase will cost $186,000. The third and last phase will cost $85,000.

U M G We have raised nearly 60% of the cost of Phase 1 for the Organ Restoration and nearly 10% of the total cost to restore the or-gan. Through the generosity of an anonymous donor we are happy to announce a Matching Gift Campaign of $10,000 with the provision we reach this goal by November 30th. If you have been hesitant about making a donation to the organ Restoration Fund, now is your chance to double your gift and help us reach our goal. Any amount you donate from now until November 30 will be doubled. No amount is too large or too small.

The work involved for Phase 1 includes: • Cleaning the entire organ • Re-leathering the offset wind chests • Stopping the wind leaks in the chests and airlines • Replacing the Static Reservoir • Installing new expression motors for the organ

will run smoothly and quietly • Refurbishing the existing 8’ Trumpet God bless you for your generosity!

If you have not yet been enrolled in the Brown Scapular, you will have two opportunities every month to do so: After the evening Masses (6:30PM) on every First Friday and every first Tuesday of the month, you can present yourself at the Mother of Perpetual Help Altar and be en-rolled by one of the priests at the Oratory. Please bring your own Brown Scapular!

S . J W R

With your help, we’ve collected $28,607.54 to-ward our new goal of $50,000.00. This is 56% of the total project goal!

If you would like to donate toward the repair of these windows, please contact the rectory or make a note along with your donation. We thank you again for your prayers and your extreme generosity!

O C The Oratory choir is looking for willing and able Tenors and Basses. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Nick Botkins at [email protected].

The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. Every year the Prior General and the Superiors of the Institute’s Apostolates renew an act of public con-secration on the feast day of December 8. As the Immaculate Conception is also the Patroness of the United States of America, it is most appropri-ate to prepare for this important occasion through a Novena.

This year’s Novena will begin on Wednesday, November 30, and end with the Institute’s pa-tronal feast on December 8, a Holy Day of Ob-ligation. Every day throughout this Novena, different homilists will pronounce the sermon of the Mass of the day (please see schedule in upcoming announcements). After each Mass there will be devotions to the Immaculate Con-ception with a procession to the altar of Our Lady.

Please come and join us during this important spiritual exercise and invite your families and friends.

Mark your calendars!

TO ALL OUR GUESTS… Canon Wiener and the faithful of St. Francis de Sales Oratory welcome you, and hope that your time in the “Cathedral of South St. Louis” may be an opportunity to share in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Faith.

Please enjoy the beauty of this building dedicated to St. Francis de Sales, co-patron of the INSTITUTE OF CHRIST THE KING SOVEREIGN PRIEST.

According to liturgical tradition, and the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, Holy Communion is received kneeling and on the tongue. All visitors who are not of the Catholic faith are welcome to join us in prayer, but are requested not to receive Holy Communion. Because the reception of Holy Communion is the sign of Divine and Ecclesial unity, only practicing Catholics who are free of mortal sin, and in full communion with the Catholic Church should present themselves for Holy Communion.

We pray for the full visible unity among all Christians.

To receive more information about the Oratory or if you desire to become a member of the Catholic Church, contact the rectory. St. Francis de Sales Oratory is an Oratory of the INSTITUTE OF CHRIST THE KING SOVEREIGN PRIEST in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. All contributions to the Oratory are sincerely appreciated and are tax deductible.
