• Adam Cohen releases his third studio album on October 7 on Cooking Vinyl through Shock.• Adam Cohen, the son of the legendary Leonard Cohen, quit the music business fi ve years ago, but has now returned, ready to honour his last name. His new album, Like A Man, is a collection of 10 intimate songs often recalling the late-60s and 70s recordings of his father, driven by lyrics and a Cohenesque romance.• Since releasing three major label albums — 1998 self-titled debut; 2004’s French-language Mélancolista and his band, Low Millions’ Ex-Girlfriends — Adam has attempted to downplay his lineage and defl ect questions about his famous dad. Adam explains. “Musically speaking, I was performing some kind of contortion act to not be seen purely as my father’s son.”• But his perspective has since changed. Besides, to have the poetic skill that Adam shows on Like A Man is not something that can be passed down through DNA; it is an intelligence, an insight and sensitivity that comes from within, no matter one’s parentage. Songs such as “Out of Bed,” “Like A Man,” “Beautiful” and “What Other Guy” are fi lled with beautiful, romantic sentiments, superlatives and metaphors to make any woman swoon.

• A new era dawns for iconic band Pop Will Eat Itself, with a revival by principal songwriter and co-frontman Graham Crabb. The inspiration behind the music was the challenge to create a classic PWEI album a full 25 years after the fi rst EP release, that sounds more exciting and relevant than most of what is being produced in 2011.• The new album ‘New Noise Designed By A Sadist’ is set for release on October 7th on Cooking Vinyl through Shock, totally fi nished & mastered, having been mixed by Sulpher duo Monti & Rob Holliday (also guitarist with Prodigy, Marilyn Manson) .• Part of Graham’s burning drive is the belief that Pop Will Eat Itself were, in the recent words of DJ Tiga ‘chronically underrated’ and also a desire to emerge from the shadows of former PWEI buddy and now soundtrack maestro Clint Mansell.• With a string of Top 40 UK and US hits, Pop Will Eat Itself rose to prominence fuelled by Crabb-penned tunes such as ‘There Is No Love Between Us Anymore’, ‘Bulletproof’, ‘RSVP’, ‘Get The Girl, Kill The Baddies’ and many, many others. Graham is the only original member in the band, new members have been added to cater for upcoming live shows.

• Transit believes music is about connecting with people and that’s exactly what they do. Through the honesty and individuality expressed in their music, the North Shore Boston band has been able to connect with kids from their humble beginnings in the Northeast Pop-punk scene and nationwide as they have toured more and more.• Through their relentless tour schedule and incredible work ethic, the band has shared the stage with artists such as Senses Fail, Bayside, Four Year Strong, Less Than Jake, The Wonder Years and many more.• Transit being named one of Alternative Press’ “Bands To Watch In 2011” was something they took as a challenge as they headed into the studio this summer, working with Steve Haigler (Brand New, Pixies, Clutch, Local H) and Gary Cioffi . Recognized as the new band to watch by both press and their veteran peers, Transit felt the pressure and defi nitely delivered with their Rise Records debut “Listen & Forgive”.

• Title track from the new album Radiosurgery continues the band’s high energy musical journey while simultaneously paying homage to the bands that inspired them to fi rst pick up instruments as teenagers back in Coral Springs Florida.• “Our music is constantly evolving and changing and when this band puts out an album we always try to offer something different,” explains guitarist Chad Gilbert. “With this disc we wanted to go back to the music that got us into punk and incorporate infl uences from those albums.”• For this latest venture, New Found Glory was aided by a trusted producer Neal Avron, who worked with the band on Catalyst in 2004, and has honed his chops in the interim with artists like Fall Out Boy and Linkin Park. The resulting songs sound undeniably like New Found Glory but they also have a timeless punk feel that will appeal to both diehard fans as well as new converts.• “This album is a culmination of all of our albums put together and in a lot of ways we feel like a new band when we’re playing these songs because they’re so energized and they affi rm the fact that we’re going to be a band for a long time,” summarizes guitarist Steve Klein. “In a lot of ways it feels like we’re just getting started.”

• Hailing originally from Louisville, KY, but having lived in Brooklyn, NY, the duo of Mark Palgy and Craig Pfunder release their new studio album ‘Diamonds And Death’ locally through Shock. The new surroundings exerted a powerful infl uence on the predominantly electronic grooves of their fi rst full-length since 2007’s ‘Bring on the Comets’ that featured the single ‘Can’t Believe A Single Word’.• The other key infl uence on VHS or Beta’s revitalized sound is their work as DJs and remix producers. Since 2008, the duo has put its distinctive stamp on cuts for artists like My Morning Jacket, Tegan and Sara and Hussle Club, garnering signifi cant attention for their remix of The Juan MacLean’s 2008 barnstormer ‘Happy House’.• The fi rst single ‘Breaking Bones’ features an amazing clip getting attention around the world.• Extensive service of album, singles and clips to Australian media, fl owthrough from online and o’seas activity.

• In May 2010, a group of Miles Davis alumni, New York’s fi nest Latin Jazz players, and a contingent of exceptional Spanish fl amenco musicians, gathered at Sear Sound Studios in Manhattan for an unprecedented recording event.• 2 CDs of material were recorded, blending two different categories of repertoire: * New interpretations and arrangements of Miles classics from Sketches Of Spain (‘Concierto de Aranjuez’, ‘Saeta/ Pan Piper’ medley, ‘Solea’), Kind Of Blue (‘Flamenco Sketches’), and Someday My Prince Will Come (‘Teo’ aka ‘Teo/Neo’). * New compositions by principals in the sessions - Chick Corea, Jack DeJohnette, John Scofi eld, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, etc. – that enhance and extend the musical concepts into the multicultural language of 21st century jazz.• A veritable who’s who of jazz appear on the album - extensive service to Australian media and already attracting huge attention in key o’seas and online media.
