Thank you to all the parishioners who
worked so hard to make Fr. Haney’s
funeral a beautiful celebration of his
life. His funeral liturgy was indeed a
celebration of the Resurrection. Also,
Father’s family has asked me to pass
along to anyone not only at St. Gabriel but to all in our
Parish Grouping their deep appreciation for all you did
for Fr. Haney not only recently but throughout his life
and to thank anyone who helped in any way with the
funeral and luncheon. We all look forward to
continuing to celebrate and honor Fr. Haney’s life in the
weeks and months ahead.
Be mindful of the Thanksgiving and Christmas Mass

FAITH FORMATION
The Faith Formation students from St. Valentine and St. Gabriel Parishes are planning their first service
project of the season: Care Packages for College Kids. If you have a son or daughter who is away at school
and would enjoy a special greeting, a couple of sweet treats and other goodies, please contact Maryann

ADVENT EVENT
We will be hosting an Advent Event for all of the children in our Parish Grouping during the day on Sunday,
December 1st. We are looking for help to plan and/or work the event. The initial design is for it to have a VBS
or carnival atmosphere, but we are open to suggestions. If you would like to participate, please contact Carol

CHILDREN’S CHOIR NEWS
All children, 2nd grade through 8th grade, are invited to join the St. Gabriel Chil-
dren’s Choir to sing for special events and Christmas Eve Mass. The rehearsals will
take place in the Church on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.

Nativity & St. Germaine Ladies of Charity continue to collect children’s books and bibs
for NEW moms of babies born at Jefferson Hospital. The NEW books and bibs need to
be non gender specific (can be for a boy or girl). Please drop your donation off in the
back of any of the four Churches in our grouping. This will be an ongoing collection
throughout the year.

The Christian Mothers thank the following businesses for donating or providing food for the
wake following Fr. Haney’s funeral: Armstrong’s, Calabria’s, Cibrone’s, Frisch’s, Gianna Via’s,
Palatucci Catering, Shop ‘n Save and Storms Restaurant. Thank you also to the CCM volun-
teers for setting up the hall, greeting and serving guests, and sharing stories about how their
lives were touched in a special way by Fr. Haney. The picture boards portrayed Fr. Haney as we
all remember him — smiling, happy and enjoying being with the people that he loved to serve.
