People: Lord, hear the prayers of Your children.

Leader: For our nation and our leaders, that we will establish policies and practices that

show we cherish children and families and desire to help and support them with

compassion and justice, let us pray,

People: Lord, hear the prayers of Your children.

Leader: For ourselves and our community, that we discover greatness in serving children

and those most in need, let us pray,

People: Lord, hear the prayers of Your children.

Leader: For all the children, that they bloom in good health and flourish in loving care, that

they know sufficiency and share their bounty, that they walk in ways of peace and

know themselves loved by God, let us pray,

People: Lord, hear the prayers of Your children.

Leader: God of love, who shelters us like a mother hen and welcomes us like a loving father,

hear the prayers of Your Church, and grant us today what we ask of You in faith. We

ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
