The last Tuesday of every month, all SMCS will be have a Zephyrs Spirit wear day. Student can come to school out of dress code if they wear any Zephyrs gear or colors. We do have the gray Zephyrs Pride and navy 4EverZephyrs T-shirts for sale in the middle school office for $10.00. All Saints Day Mass and Litany of Remembrance – Wednesday, November 1

SMCMS will celebrate this special Holy Day at a combined Mass with SMC High School on Wednesday, November 1 beginning at 10:30 AM. As part of this Mass, we will remember and pray for any loved ones who have passed away in the last year. If you have someone in your life who has passed away in the last year, and would like them named in our litany of remembrance at that Mass, please call or send an email to Mrs. Kalaus with that person’s name. Students should be in Liturgy dress code this day. Veterans Day Mrs. Koskinen’s Grade 7 STAR students would love to honor any Veterans of any armed forces of any St. Mary Catholic Middle School families at our Liturgy on Thursday, November 16th, 2017. Students from St. Mary Catholic High School and Middle School represented SMCS at the All School’s Diocesan Mass today in Sturgeon Bay. SMCS brought with them a check for over $1000 to be donated for the NCEA Student to Student fund for hurricane relief! Thank you so all the students who donated to this effort.

Each SMCS family is assessed a $100 family fundraising fee each year. Your purchase of Zephyrs Gold raffle tickets and Z-NIGHT event admission tickets count toward that obligation. Instead of being charged the fee on your tuition statement, why not make it a fun night out? Sell extra tickets to your friends and family to make these fundraisers even more successful! Zephyrs Gold raffle tickets will entitle the holders to be entered in a drawing every month between November 11 and April 11 for a different fabulous prize each month! Prizes include an upright freezer & The Meat Block gift card, a Toro snowblower, a Scheel’s gift card, and more! Tickets are available now through November 10 for $25.00 each at all SMCS campuses. Z-NIGHT (formerly Jumbo Gumbo) will take place on Saturday, November 11 at Waverly Beach from 6:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Z-NIGHT, a new event concept, promotes unity and fellowship among our entire SMCS community – alumni, school families, parishes and community supporters. With plenty of fun, games, great food and the SMC Athletic Hall of Fame induction, Z-NIGHT will be a festive evening for all--whether current Zephyrs parents or Zephyrs friends. All proceeds will go toward keeping SMCS schools great by contributing to the purchase of curriculum materials, maintaining our facilities and supporting our SMCS students. St. Mary Catholic High School, in partnership with Charter Communications and The History Channel, will be hosting a Take A Veteran to School event in the Jane Bergstrom Fine Arts Education Center on the campus of St. Mary Catholic High School at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 6. A patriotic tribute will be featured and a panel of veterans will speak and answer students’ questions. SMC alumnus and veteran Senator Roger Roth will also briefly address the assembly.
