middlethorpe.com
warm welcome to this latest edition of ‘What’s On at Middlethorpe’ covering
the Autumn and Winter seasons. True to the tradition of the Historic House Hotels, we continue to offer a high quality service with great style in a superb setting. We are committed to offering you all that you would expect in a country house with such a long and distinguished history.
A
It is always with pride and pleasure that I write the foreword to our bi-annual newsletters, this one covering the Autumn and Winter season 2016/17 and describing to you the cornucopia of events that we have organised to suit all tastes – from gourmet Champagne dinners to gin tastings through garden tours and entertaining afternoons and evenings.
The Autumn is my favourite season of the year, when the weather is ideal for long discovery walks and cycle rides through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside – The North York Moors are my favourite – slowly changing into a blaze of colours. Christmas is also around the corner with the City transforming into one of the most exciting and fun markets in this country and hosting several festivals – do join us and enjoy some exceptional experiences in ‘God’s own County’!
Here at Middlethorpe Hall, our long-standing team and I are looking forward to welcoming you in our usual style:
Ashley Binder, our Head Chef and his crew will provide the finest seasonal fare, locally sourced, served by our Head team lead by Liam Warwick our Restaurant Manager, and complemented by our award-winning wine list offering something to every palate.
The Front of House Team managed by José Sanchez together with Michael Fawcett our Head Concierge and the expert Housekeeper Elaine Cuthbert also look forward to your visit and to providing you with a warm welcome and an enjoyable and memorable experience.
PS: I was delighted to be able to join many Heads of Departments and members of the team to run the York 10K in August, when we raised money for ‘Project Riandu’ a very worthwhile charity that I recommend you support if you are able to: http://www.projectriandu.com/
