Industry in Education Day
The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce connected industry representatives to
juniors and seniors at Lakeview High School. “Industry in Education” brings
representatives from all career fields into the classroom to teach resume development,
interviewing skills, and the essential soft skills used in the workplace.
Around 130 students were interviewed by 26 industry representatives as though they
were applying for an actual position at their company. The goal was to allow those
students to show and give examples of their use of soft skills, as well as give them
experience with interviewing for a job.
Thanks to the businesses and volunteers who helped make this event a success.
