Converting first time customers into guaranteed RETURNs....

With winter on its way out and spring not sure whether it should stay or leave, we all hope that the "summer" of our business arrives and bring with it lasting clients. Often first time clients or customers are easy to attract. The question is: "how do I ensure their RETURN?"I've come to understand that there is no place in business or life for "fly-by-nights" and nobody appreciates being introduced to something good and then not have the good available again. So I figured, in order to ensure their RETURN, one should treat one's (first time) customers as follows:R - Build rapport and relationships. Everybody wants to know and be treated in a manner that says: "You matter" making sure that your client understand that it's about him or her is imperative in building relations.E - Conduct your business on solid ethics. In conducting business there should be no question in your or your client's mind as to whether you are doing the right thing. It should at all times be evident that doing business with you are business "unusual". Unusual in the sense that it's a given that with your business everything is always above board.T - Build trust. If clients at anytime wondered as to whether "the customer is always right", at least let

them know and believe that your business is one they can trust. Clients would rather want to trust a service provider than work with one who makes them believe that they are right.U - Be unique not just in your products or services but especially in your presentation and delivery. It should always be said of you and your business that: "Nobody does it like you"R - Be reliable. When no one can or won't, your clients should always know that you will (have). Be in constant supply as you intend to be be in demand.N - Be innovative and creative, always offering your clients something new !Apply theses principles consistently and you are guaranteed that your new and existing clients will always RETURN as you lead your business from where you are.

A Healthy Lifestyle Cuts Your Cancer RiskBy Clint Pietersen – Registered DietitianEmail: [email protected]

According to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), more than 100 000 South Africans are diagnosed with cancer every year. Only 10% of cancers can be connected to hereditary factors with 90% of cancers caused by environmental factors (such as chemicals & radiation) and lifestyle (such as smoking, being overweight, unhealthy diets and lack of exercise).

Practical Tips to Reduce Your Cancer Risk•Do not smoke, including exposure to secondhand smoke, as it’s the leading cause of cancer.•Limit alcohol intake to 1-2 drinks per day as drinking too much alcohol increases the risk of seven types of cancer. Smoking further increases the risk of many alcohol-induced cancers.•Maintain a healthy weight as being overweight can be a risk factor to many different types of cancers, including bowel, pancreatic, breast and womb cancer.•Eat a variety of fruit and vegetables of different colours, as each contain various nutrients which in combinations could reduce the risk of cancer. This

effect is not achieved when these nutrients are taken as supplements. •Eat smaller and fewer portions of red meat and processed meats, such as hot dogs, bacon, and salami. Limit your intake of braai meats and deep-fried foods as cooking meat at high temperatures until it chars can produce cancer-causing chemicals.•Being physically active can reduce the risk of various cancers. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate activity a day, on five or more days a week.

Health and Wellness

I joined fitcamp in February this year to try it out for a month. It has been seven months now and I hqve never looked back. I have discovered that fitCAMP is not just a training program but a group of people like family who motivates you. It's where we believe anything is possible, and we push each other beyond our limits. The dedicated trainers are amazing because it does not matter what your fitness level is or how old you are, they make you believe in yourself and those positive thoughts propels you in the right direction. At the age of 39, I’m fitter than I’ve ever been in my life and hoping to do a race soon (I think I’m addicted to training now).

I believe that if we give as much energy to our dreams as we give to our fears we can make things happen. “DON’T FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS CHASE THEM”

Thank you fitCAMP it has been a real journey so far and for making me believe in myself.
