The Right Turn hosted an Open House was held Monday, October 5th and was open to the public with a presentation on The Right Turn’s medical programs, Court Reporting, and information booths set up for all of the programs offered at the center. Several community members, including members from the surrounding communities of Onida, Philip, Midland, and Ree Heights, attended the Medical Programs presentation which was given by The Right Turn’s program partner, Career Step, based out of Utah. Also on the agenda was information for The Right Turn’s newest program, Court Reporting.
“It was a really good turn out”, stated Wendy Backlund, Program Coordinator. “We’ve had several community members attend and they were excited about our programs.”
“There was a comment made by one of the surrounding community members who stated she drove 30 miles for this Open House and she was so thankful to know that The Right Turn was still operating and offering their programs to anyone in the state”, stated Teresa Hogeland, Admissions Coordinator. “I’m excited and amazed as to how many outlying communities outside of Pierre and Ft. Pierre aren’t aware that our organization is available to them and are as excited about our programs as we are.”
