Dr. Boyd is responsible for liaison with health professionalsinternationally and is involved inmarket support and new country launches. He developed theMannatech Speakers’ Bureau,health professionals and otherqualified individuals who supportMannatech and its Associates inthe field. Dr. Boyd also assists in
the development of internationalCME ( continuing medicaleducation ) programs for healthprofessionals in Mannatech’sinternational markets.
Dr. Boyd obtained his BS ( withhonors ) and PhD degrees inchemistry at the University of
Glasgow in the United Kingdomfollowed by a Post-DoctoralResearch Fellowship inthermodynamics at the StateUniversity of New York.Following industrial experience inchemical research, Dr. Boydreturned to college and obtainedhis MD degree from theUniversity of Toronto.
In his fifteen years of Family Practice in the U.S and Canada,his focus was on wellness, healthmaintenance and diseaseprevention. Dr. Boyd’s interest in
medicine and research resulted inhis recruitment in Canada asMedical Director of OrthoPharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company. Since 1992, hehas been involved inpharmaceutical and nutritionalresearch with naturally -occurring plant carbohydrates.
Dr. Boyd is a member of the American Academy of Family
Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the AmericanMedical Association and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Wound Management.In 2001, at the general meeting of the Society in London, England,Dr. Boyd was elected a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine.
