Girl’s Gymnastics Team

Seaholm girls are encouraged to consider joining the Birmingham Unified Gymnastics team which represents Seaholm, Groves and International Academy. The season starts November 1. You do not have to have gymnastics experience to be a member of the team! There are no try-outs for the team but we want to give girls a chance to see what it’s like so we’re offering a “Try-it” where girls can attend the first 3 practices before deciding if they want to join.

To attend practices, girls need to complete the Athletic Registration at www.bpsregister.com. For the payment, enter $0. For more information on the team, check out our website at www.buggymnastics.com or click on our link on the Seaholm Athletic page. If a girl is finishing up a fall sport and can’t start practice until later in November, she is still eligible to join the team. Contact the Booster Mom, Robyn Whitelaw, for more information at [email protected]

“Would you like to buy a Seaholm Winter Scarf? With the holidays and the cold weather soon upon us, please consider supporting the Seaholm Boys Soccer Team by buying a Seaholm winter scarf! Friends of Different Learners Meeting on

Best Practices for Inclusion November 3, 2016 7:00 p.m.

Birmingham Covington School (BCS), Media Center 1525 Covington Road • Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301

Best practices for inclusion will share the experience of going through the public school system from a parent of a child with Down’s Syndrome. Cynthia Hutchinson, author, founder of the Band of Angels, public speaker, and advocate for individuals with different learning needs, goes in depth into her first hand experience facilitating inclusive opportunities for her son from pre-school to vocation. Her wealth of knowledge around how to promote inclusive opportunities, along with her take-aways from her positive and negative experiences, gives insight into what effective inclusion could and should look like. This will be followed by a Q & A in which parents can ask Cynthia direct questions or share experiences.

Senior Graduate Lawn signs for sale! If you did NOT order a lawn sign for your graduating senior at registration-order now! Most of you recall seeing the lawn signs that sprout up around town in the spring to recognize seniors at Seaholm. They are maroon and white and have the students name on the sign. These signs actually serve two functions. They celebrate the graduating seniors of Seaholm and they also are a fundraiser for the All Night Party. The All Night Party runs from approximately 10pm -4 am after graduation. The party is a fun and safe way for the seniors of Seaholm to celebrate their graduation. The All Night Party is self-supporting and senior parents raise funds to put on the event. Ordering now will help alleviate last minute issues.

Lawn sign sales are a significant fundraiser for the All Night Party. They are also a wonderful way to celebrate your senior. The signs cost $25 per sign/per student or $45 for two signs/per student.

The link to purchase both a ticket to the All Night Party and a lawn sign is as follows: https://seaholmptastore.ecwid.com/
