Navigation Light Controller

Oceanic Systems 5971 Navigation Light Controller and the 5972 8 channel expansion modules offers full control and monitoring of LED navigation lights over a standard NMEA2000® network.

The units are designed to control and monitor up to 24 LED Navigation Lights with full monitoring of LED and wiring integrity so that any failures are detected and indicated. There is a single current calibration button that allows the installer to calibrate the unit to each LED circuit so that partial LED failures or wiring failures are detected. In addition, the unit tracks LED power on hours and warns when the LED has reached its useful life and needs to be replaced to maintain safe navigation light visible distances.

Each circuit has a manual override on or off and a self resetting safety fuse. The units are standard DIN rail mounted and have WAGO style cage clamp connections.

3271-SAM

Sender Averaging Module

Solves the problem of inaccurate tank level gauge readings caused by the tank contents moving within a long tank when the boat is under power.

The module calculates a mathematical average of two tank senders mounted in the tank and outputs that result in a standard Tank Level PGN 127505 so that all attached displays show the average value of the tank level.

The 3271-SAM signals if either sender is missing or has detected water in the tank so that the user can be confident of the quality of the readings.

The J1939 interface is optically isolated to prevent ground loop problems and is read-only so no messages are sent to the J1939 interface for absolute safety.

The adaptor is equipped with LEDs to indicate when J1939 messages are received and when NMEA2000® messages are transmitted.

This unit uses a simple set of two small rotary source and address switches so multiple adaptors can exist on the same networks.

NMEA2000® Flow Adaptor Module

The Oceanic Systems 5720 Flow Adapter Module is designed to report fuel flow and usage over the NMEA2000® network using positive displacement flow meters.

These high accuracy sensors connect directly to the 5720 using the fully water resistant IP68 rated standard Deutsch connectors. The 5720 is compatible with sensors having a single pulsed output as well as those with a 2-phase quadrature output (for cases where reverse flow must be considered). Additionally high accuracy PT100 temperature compensated sensors are fully supported.

As required, the 5720 may be set up to measure two individual flow rates, consumption data based on flow and return rates or total fluid transferred. This configuration along with sensor parameters and network instances may be made to the flow adapter over the NMEA2000® network or by Bluetooth™ using the Oceanic Systems mobile configuration app available for Apple and Android devices.

Vacuum & Pressure Sensors

The Oceanic Systems’ Pressure Sensor range can monitor a wide range of liquids or gas pressures in the marine environment.

The units use a high performance piezoresistive pressure transducer as t he sensing part, and the inner structure is O-ring sealed. All the sensors have a -10 to 70°C wide temperature compensation.

Relay Output Module

Allows messages over the NMEA2000® network to directly control 8 power relays using standard NMEA2000® PGN messages.

Each of these relays are totally isolated and can be connected to any mix of DC or AC control circuits, each controlling up to 8 Amps at 35 Volts for DC or up to 16 Amps at 250 Volts AC resistive load.

The relay would be supporting remote alarm inputs, pump management, power switching connectors, light control and many other applications where power needs to be controlled over the network.

Each 3478 has a switch settable Switch Bank Instance to allow multiple Relay Output Modules on a single network.

Each relay output has a green LED to indicate when each relay is operated.

The 3478 is operated from the standard NMEA2000® Switch Bank Control PGN 127502 from any NMEA2000® controller. The unit also transmits the standard NMEA2000® Switch Bank Status PGN 127501 every 2 seconds to keep the network updated.

Switch Input Module

The 4410 16 Channel Switch Input Module monitors switch closure devices and reports their status over the NMEA2000® network.

These devices can include fire/smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, bilge and flood float detectors, doorway and porthole closure detectors, valve status detectors and many more. With this module and suitable NMEA2000® displays the status of all these items can be viewed anywhere on the vessel.

The unit has PLC quality inputs that are manufactured to IEC61131 and IEC61000 standards so they are optically isolated and fully protected against ESD, Voltage Surges and Transients to ensure the most reliable operation at all times.

It is compatible with either 12 or 24 Volt systems. It requires no user setup menus but the simple setting of two small rotary address switches so multiple Switch Input Modules can exist on the same network.

Each switch input also has a tell tale green LED to indicate when it is active.
