The  CIO  leads  OIT  in  biennial  planning  cycles.  Each  biennium,  several  focus  areas  are  chosen  based

on  the  PSU  Strategic  Plan,  technology  best  practices  and  campus  needs.  In  each  focus  area,  goals

are  established  which  then  generate  numerous  projects.

2011  brought  many  changes    and  improvements  to  PSU.

Committed  to  focusing  its  limited  resources  on  projects  that  align  with  the  Portland  State  University  Strategic  Plan  and  meet  the  needs  of  it  customers,  the  OIT  leadership  team    collaboratively  evaluated  and  prioritized  potential  projects  that  would  most  benefit  the  institution.

To  ensure  successful  completion  of  projects,  both  team  and  individual  accountability  was  built  into  each  project  and  then  monitored  by  the  leadership  team.  The  diligent  monitoring  resulted  in  significant  achievements  that  had  a  positive  impact  on  all  OIT  areas  of  focus  and  university  initiatives.

This  matrix  provides  an  overview  of  the  major  accomplishments  for  the  year  and  highlights  the  OIT  areas  of  focus  and  university  initiatives  supported.  A  detailed  description  of  each  accomplishment  is  provided  on  the  following  pages.
