Manila Zoo (Report detail of observations in the area) It is the first time that I visited Manila Zoo in Adriatico St., Manila, it was such a great visiting experience. I never knew what Manila Zoo’s situation was before but there are things (positive and negative) that I observed during our walk/visit inside the zoo. As we approach to the ticketing gates of the zoo, people are welcoming. The presence of greeneries and other park accessories are still there. A very good example on how they maintain the liveliness and energy of the zoo. Continuing to walk around, there are map guides around path walks that people may easily identify destinations and zonings. Manila zoo possesses huge land property that caters the wild-life habitat. As we go along and explore various animal businesses, there are some points that somehow made me feel sad because of the habitat’s situation, and also the animals living there. Yes the place was amusing yet I don’t know if the waters from the ponds and the like are filthy (that made me think, is it the natural way for the animals?) and bushes and shrubs are all dried up leading to a thought on how animals in the zoo survive in that way. Another is the presence of animal enclosures, those enclosures surely secure animals that exist in the zoo, but how comfortable are they? (Animals). It was just like putting something in a box and there goes nothing. How could they feel freer if those rusty and crowded enclosures are their mode of dwelling? I felt more stress and pressure for the animals. I also noticed the inconsistency of cleanliness of the park, but somehow it practices the use of bins and trash cans. There was this lagoon like body of water that people can make use of it specifically boating, but how would people boat, if some parts of the water are too green in color and mossy, well fortunately I did not experience any stench from the waters, but hopefully it

Manila Zoo (Report detail of observations in the area)

It is the first time that I visited Manila Zoo in Adriatico St., Manila, it was such a great visiting experience.

There was this lagoon like body of water that people can make use of it specifically boating, but how would people boat, if some parts of the water are too green in color and mossy, well fortunately I did not experience any stench from the waters, but hopefully it would be cleaned by the administration so that people may enjoy the presence and existence of the lagoon. Mostly the greeneries and botanical life still provides beauty and freshness around the place, they are well maintained and do really have purpose for every living animal inside the zoo. As we reach the end of our observation, there are some place (specifically the playground) that possesses orderliness and beauty,

Looking holistically, the zoo still provides amusement and learning, it’s just the facilities and other amenities inside the zoo doesn’t meet the needs of the visitors and of the animals, or it does not undergo proper maintenance and care. I just hope that the administration and people concerned for the zoo provides actions and possible redevelopment be done so that it can have its chance to prosper more and cater the animals with a healthy habitat and give more inspiration to people who visit Manila Zoo.
