These qualifications have been developed for qualified and experienced teachers who undertake formal observations of colleagues delivering teaching or training sessions particularly those who manage a team of observers.

The qualification will develop your skills and knowledge in undertaking teaching, training and learning session observations and post observation feedback processes.

If you already have observation experience you will still benefit considerably from completion of this course and the achievement of the qualification because it provides recognition of your skills.

HOW WE DELIVER OUR TRAINING

This is assessed through the compilation of a portfolio of evidence which includes internally set and marked and externally verified assignments.

Learning journals are a good way of documenting progress and achievement, but are not a formal requirement.

Assessment methods include: recorded discussion, mini presentation, professional discussion, Observation reports/ feedback/ moderation.

You will be expected to complete a minimum of three observation reports over the duration of the qualification. It is expected that improvements in your observation skills would be demonstrated as you progress through the qualification.
