(1) Section 2(12) of the Act has beenamended. But what about thecoverage of establishment u/s 1(5)as to whether the old provision stillexists till revised Notification isissued by the State Govt.

(2) As the desiqnatlon of the 1.1. hasbeen changed to SSO and their

I responsibility has increased. But, asi per the New Inspection Policy the

SSO has to conduct 20 Inspectionsand 20 surveys per month.Whether this target is still holdsgood.

Most of the Bank Branches are nonCo-operative. They are notagreeing to open No frill A/Cs,need strong communication fromHqrs. to Bank & their branches.

(2) There are many cases wherebeneficiaries are so old/illiterate orHandicapped enough to cope upwith the problems of getting cashfrom banks they are hell bent upongetting benefits in cash only fromour branch offices. AnyGuidelines/suggestion if benefit isprovided to them at Home.

(3) No Improvement can be seen inMedical Benefits through (StateRun) Dispensaries. So it should betaken over by ESI only

(4)To ensure achievement of ESIC'sGoal, delegation of powers ofSSOs/BMneed to be improvised

The policy decision ondoing away with theconcept of provisional dateof coverage and final dateof coverage has to beunderstood in properperspective. Now the dateof coverage i.e. the datefrom which the unit is liableto be covered is to berecommended. TheCorporation reserves theright to take back the dateof coverage if the evidenceof the same is found.

B.G. ; respective Region. In this regard, it is suggested toallot sub-code nos to SO/Ba by theparent Region and forward the same torespective RO/SRO's for allotment ofBranch Office/Designated Bank Branchunder intimation to all the concernedincluding the employer.2) The major employees are facingproblem in generation of systemgenerated challans where more no. ofemployees employed.

3)The contract agencies & securityagencies who are having more no. ofemployees deployed through out thecountry are facing problem in makingpayment of contribution in respect ofthese employees where thecompliance is being made at Hqrs.there.

In this regard, it is suggested forpayment through multiple (separate)challans to reduce their work whilefurnishing compliance duringinspection at their various clients.

What is the reaction of ESIC for thevoluntary coverage by the employerhaving less than 10 employees andemployees who wants to get coveredeven though his salary/wages is morethan 15,000/-

1. The existing system ofallotment of code no. is tobe continued. Please also see clarificationagainst Question No. 33).

2. There is excess uploadprovision for big employerunder IT roll out.3. There is provision ofsupplementary challansthrough which employercan generate no. ofchallans for differentcategories of employees.
