• Painting with a paintbrush is much slower than with a paint spray gun, but the paint brush costs much less

• Painting with a paint spray gun requires that paint be thinned, and the gun must be cleaned after each use to prevent clogging

• A spray gun or spray can nozzle should be held about 6”-8” from the surface being painted– Holding too close causes runs or sags on the

surface– Holding too far causes the finish to look and

feel dusty or sandy
